Mounting on a CSL monitor holder or stand

The shelf attaches to a CSL Cockpit fitted with CSL Cockpit Monitor Holder, or to the freestanding CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand. These are two manufacturer-supported installation options, with separate procedures in the manual.

It is not a standalone table or a universal shelf for arbitrary profiles. A compatible supporting structure is required and is not included.

A removable mat to reduce vibration

The rubber mat forms a layer between the device and the shelf. It reduces vibration reaching the device through the cockpit structure during Force Feedback operation.

The insert lifts out, making it easier to clean both the mat and the surface beneath it. This is a practical feature for a setup where a wheel base operates close to the computer.

Height adjustment and accessory mounting

Height adjustment helps position the shelf around the device and the rest of the setup. Keep buttons, ports and cables accessible rather than choosing a position solely for its appearance.

Prepared holes allow accessories such as the separately available CSL Cockpit Keyboard Holder to be attached. Hardware and tools for shelf assembly are included.

Fanatec CSL Cockpit Shelf instructions for Monitor Holder and Monitor Stand installation

1. What is needed to install the shelf?

A CSL Cockpit fitted with CSL Cockpit Monitor Holder, or the freestanding CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand, is required. The shelf is not a standalone table. The cockpit and both monitor mounting structures are sold separately.

2. Can the shelf attach to a freestanding monitor stand?

Yes, to the Fanatec CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand. The manual provides a separate installation procedure for this configuration. This does not establish compatibility with every freestanding stand from another series or brand.

3. What size PC can it hold?

The manufacturer specifies a maximum device width of 265 mm and length of 495 mm. Measure the case in its intended position and allow additional clearance for cables and ventilation before buying.

4. Can it also hold a console?

Yes, provided the console fits within the stated dimensions in its chosen orientation. Keep air inlets and outlets clear. Any console base must also fit on the supporting surface.

5. What is the maximum load capacity?

Fanatec does not state a load limit in kilograms in the product page and manual reviewed. The 265 × 495 mm dimensions are not a weight rating and do not establish a specific permitted mass for a heavy PC case.

6. Is the mounting height adjustable?

Yes. The shelf offers height adjustment. Set it to suit the compatible support structure and device while leaving access to connectors. The product page does not specify a numerical adjustment range.

7. What does the rubber mat do?
