1. What is included with VNM V1 Brake & Throttle?
The package contains two separate pedal modules: throttle and brake. A controller box handles their input and calibration. A clutch pedal and heel plate are not part of this configuration.
2. Which cars suit a two-pedal setup?
Throttle and brake are enough for cars that use steering-wheel paddles for gear changes. This includes many GT cars, prototypes and single-seaters. It avoids buying a clutch module that would remain unused during normal racing.
3. What does a 200 kg brake load cell mean?
It is the rated capacity of the force sensor. The driver does not have to press the brake with 200 kg of force. Calibration defines the pressure at which the game receives a full 100 percent brake signal.
4. Which sensor is fitted to the throttle?
The throttle uses a contactless angle sensor. It reads position without a potentiometer wiper sliding along a track, supporting consistent input and reducing wear at the sensing element.
5. Can the physical pedal position be adjusted?
Yes. Both modules offer pedal height and angle adjustment. Their separate design also lets the installer choose the spacing on a compatible cockpit tray or on the profiles supplied with the optional VNM base.
6. Does VNM V1 Brake & Throttle need calibration?
Yes. Use VNM software to set the operating ranges after installation. The same program adjusts dead zones and response curves. Recalibration is recommended after changing pedal geometry or resistance.
7. Is a heel plate included?
No. Both pedals can be bolted directly to a compatible rig or combined with the VNM Pedal Heel Rest. The optional base organises the installation, allows spacing adjustment and gives the feet a stable support point.
8. Is VNM Damper Kit compatible with the V1 two-pedal set?
Yes. V1 pedals can be expanded with the VNM Damper Kit. It introduces adjustable resistance and a more hydraulic-style response.
9. How can the brake stiffness be modified?
The VNM Pedal Brake Upgrade Kit V2 provides additional mechanical tuning options. It is an upgrade for the existing brake assembly, not a complete standalone pedal.
10. Can the pedals be used loose on the floor?
That is not the recommended installation. A load cell brake is used under substantial pressure, so the modules should be bolted to a rigid pedal tray or sim rig. Secure mounting improves safety and braking consistency.
