Your first setup — where to start
I've never owned a wheel. What should I buy so I don't regret it?
A Direct Drive base, a wheel and load cell pedals — three things you won't outgrow. Belt- and gear-driven wheels (the classic Logitech, Thrustmaster) get bought once, and a year later get replaced by Direct Drive. Skip the middle step. Matched bundles are in Sim racing bundles; for a first setup look at MOZA R5/R9 or Simagic Alpha Mini/EVO Sport.
What is Direct Drive and why does everyone talk about it?
The motor sits directly on the wheel shaft — no belts, no gears, no play. You get fast, detailed force feedback, silence and durability. It's the difference between "I feel the car turning" and "I feel where the grip is". More on the blog: Why choose a Direct Drive base.
How many Nm do I need? Is 5 Nm too little?
No. 5 Nm is a proper start and plenty for formula and light cars. 8–12 Nm is the sweet spot for GT and most drivers — that's MOZA R9/R12 and Simagic Alpha EVO territory. 15 Nm and above is for advanced drivers, heavy cars and rally, and needs a serious cockpit. More torque doesn't mean "it yanks harder" — it means more detail at a lower setting.
Can I clamp it to a desk, or do I need a cockpit?
Entry and mid-range bases run fine on a sturdy desk with a mount or clamp — only pedals with a stiff brake will walk across the floor. You buy a cockpit when you want a repeatable position and nothing vibrating. From starter tubular frames to aluminium profile: Cockpits.
Do load cell pedals really make a difference?
It's the one upgrade that cuts lap times the most. Regular pedals measure how far you pressed; a load cell measures how hard — like a real car. Your foot learns one pressure and you brake identically every time. From MOZA SR-P to Heusinkveld: Pedals.
How much does all this cost?
A sensible Direct Drive start (base, wheel, pedals) begins at a few hundred euros; a mid-range setup with cockpit and load cell runs into the low thousands; a full rig with a strong base, triple screens and a seat — from a few thousand upwards. Prices are on every bundle, and for complete builds we quote individually.
Which games to start with?
On PC: Assetto Corsa (cheapest entry, endless mods), ACC (GT3), iRacing (best online racing, subscription), Automobilista 2, Le Mans Ultimate, EA WRC (rally). On PS5: Gran Turismo 7, F1, ACC. On Xbox: Forza Motorsport, ACC, F1.
Monitor, triples or VR?
One wide monitor is the simplest start. Triple screens — best field of view for long sessions. VR — best immersion, but needs a strong PC and not everyone stands it for hours. You can compare all three in our showroom before spending anything.
Gear and compatibility
Will this work on PS5?
Only if it carries a PlayStation licence — the console won't recognise anything else, however good. Look for the "PlayStation" mark on the product page (selected MOZA bundles, Fanatec PS-marked, Thrustmaster). Simagic, Simucube and Conspit are PC-only. Not sure? Ask — we'll check your exact configuration.
And on Xbox?
On Xbox the licence lives in the wheel, not the base. Buy a MOZA base once, add an Xbox-licensed wheel (e.g. ESX) and you're racing. Fanatec works the same way with Xbox-marked wheels.
Can I mix brands — MOZA base, Heusinkveld pedals?
On PC yes, without limits: every device connects separately over USB. On consoles pedals usually need to be the same brand as the base and plugged into it. Wheels swap within a brand's quick release system or via an adapter — ask and we'll match them.
What is a quick release and is there one standard?
It's the connector between base and wheel — swap wheels in a second. Each brand has its own, plus an industry 50 mm standard with adapters. Browse: Quick releases and accessories.
Is a powerful base safe?
15+ Nm bases can turn a wheel hard enough to hurt — which is why they have an emergency stop and software limits. Start at half power, don't let go of the wheel with FFB on, tighten the mount. Kids drive at lower settings, with an adult around.
Does the power supply matter?
Yes. Use only the supply shipped or recommended by the manufacturer — a weaker one limits torque, and damage it causes isn't covered by the warranty.
I have a racing Direct Drive. Can I fly too?
You can. MOZA Flight (AB9 joystick, MTLP throttle, rudder pedals) mounts on the same cockpit on dedicated brackets. For pilots: Flight Sim.
A product is out of stock. Will it come back?
Usually yes — click "notify me" on the product page and we'll e-mail you the moment it's back. For discontinued products we'll point you to the successor.
Buying, payment and documents
Do prices include VAT?
For delivery within the EU — yes, prices are gross at the VAT rate of your country. Choose a delivery address outside the EU and the store automatically shows prices without VAT.
Can I pay in EUR, GBP or USD?
Yes — switch the currency at the top of the page. Cards, PayPal and bank transfer are charged in the currency you see; your bank may apply its own conversion fee.
How can I pay?
Card (Visa, Mastercard), PayPal, instant bank transfer, standard transfer and — for Polish customers — BLIK and instalments. The list depends on the delivery country and is shown in the cart.
Will I get an invoice?
Every international order gets a VAT invoice by e-mail. EU businesses with a valid EU VAT number buy under reverse charge — enter the number at checkout and VAT is removed after VIES verification. Polish private customers receive an electronic receipt (e-paragon) by e-mail instead.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Until dispatch — yes: address, product, invoice details. Write to info@simline.eu with your order number. After dispatch, the return rules apply.
Is Simline legit? How do I know I'll get my gear?
We're a registered company in Poznań, Poland (KRS 0001197608), with a physical showroom and warehouse at the same address, authorised distributor of every brand we sell, and payments handled by certified operators. You can walk in, try the gear and collect in person. About us.
Are your prices the same as the manufacturer's?
Usually the same or lower — plus EU warranty, service in Poland (no shipping a 10 kg base to Asia), setup support, loyalty cashback and local payment methods.
I'm buying for a business, a league or a sim centre.
Invoices, larger orders, individual pricing for regular B2B customers, advice and turnkey rigs. Write to info@simline.eu and tell us what you need.
Shipping — EU, UK, Ukraine and worldwide
How much is shipping and when is it free?
Free from EUR 350 within the European Union and from PLN 200 in Poland. Below that, the cost appears in the cart once you enter your address. We ship by courier (DPD, FedEx, NovaPost); cockpits and seats go on a pallet. Details: Payment and delivery.
When will my parcel arrive?
In-stock items usually leave our warehouse within 1–2 business days of payment; the carrier's estimated transit time is shown in the cart. Made-to-order products have their lead time on the product page. Multi-item orders ship together once complete — unless you ask for a partial shipment.
Do you ship to the United Kingdom?
Yes. Prices for the UK exclude VAT; on delivery the courier or HMRC collects UK import VAT, any customs duty and a clearance fee — Simline has no control over these and does not refund them. Orders delivered to the UK are not covered by our voluntary return policy or manufacturer warranty service. Prices in GBP: switch currency at the top of the page.
Do you ship to Ukraine?
Yes, via Nova Post. Prices exclude VAT; parcels with a customs value up to EUR 150 are generally free of duty and VAT, above that the recipient pays duty and VAT under Ukrainian rules on delivery. The invoice and customs documents travel with the parcel. Deliveries outside the EU are not covered by our voluntary return policy or manufacturer warranty service.
Switzerland, Norway, USA, elsewhere?
We ship, on the same terms as for all non-EU destinations: prices without VAT, import charges paid by the recipient, no voluntary returns or warranty service. Shipping cost is shown in the cart.
My parcel arrived damaged.
Draw up a damage report with the courier, photograph the box and the product, and write to us straight away. We handle the rest — including the claim with the carrier.
Can I collect in person?
Yes, free of charge, at our showroom in Poznań, ul. Garbary 100/164, once you get the message that your order is ready.
Returns, complaints and warranty
Can I return it if I don't like it?
As an EU consumer — yes, no reason needed: 15 days to notify us and 15 days to send it back (the legal minimum is 14). The gear should come back as you received it; for mounting, driving or missing packaging we may deduct for diminished value. Businesses have no statutory right of return, and non-EU deliveries are not covered. Full rules: Returns and complaints.
Who pays for the return shipment?
For a return — the buyer. For an accepted complaint — we do, and we arrange courier collection.
When do I get my money?
No later than 14 days from receiving your notice, by the same payment method. We may wait until the goods are back with us.
What's the warranty?
The manufacturer's warranty on the terms shown on the product page (usually 24 months for consumers), plus — independently — 2 years of our liability for non-conformity with the contract. As an authorised distributor we handle warranty ourselves, in Poland. Applies to orders delivered within the EU.
My gear doesn't work. Should I ship it?
Not yet. First write to support@simline.eu with a description and a photo or video — a great many problems ("not detected", "no FFB", "pedals won't calibrate") can be fixed remotely. If it does need to come in, we'll arrange collection.
Cashback, gift vouchers and the partner programme
What is cashback and how do I get it?
Buy from a registered account — that's it. The cashback amount is shown on every product page; 21 days after dispatch it lands on your balance, and from the balance you generate a discount voucher for your next order. The account must exist before you order, cashback can't be exchanged for cash and is valid for 12 months. Loyalty programme terms.
Can I combine a cashback voucher with another code?
No — in the cart it's either the voucher or a discount code. The voucher does combine with a gift voucher and with price reductions on the product page.
Looking for a gift for a sim racer. Do you have vouchers?
We do: any amount from PLN 50 to 15,000 (or the equivalent in EUR, GBP, USD), a personalised dedication, a PDF by e-mail within two business days, valid 12 months on anything in the store. Gift voucher · terms.
I run a channel / a league / a Discord. Can I earn from it?
Yes, through the partner programme: generate a link, your audience buys, you earn commission on the whole cart. Businesses get a bank transfer on invoice; individuals get store credit for gear. Partner programme.
Showroom, testing and complete simulators
Can I try it first?
Yes — and we encourage it. Our showroom in Poznań has a dozen rigs: bases from 5 to over 25 Nm, wheels, pedals from different brands, cockpits, motion platforms, VR and triple screens. Compare MOZA, Simagic and Simucube on the same track in one afternoon. Address and hours: Contact.
Can I book a private demo?
Of course — write or call, tell us your budget and what you race, and we'll set up a rig around your questions and give you an hour.
Do you deliver complete, ready-to-drive simulators?
Yes — it's what we do best. We build turnkey rigs: cockpit, base, wheel, pedals, seat, monitor or triple screens, PC, audio, and a motion platform if you want one. For home, for sim centres, for events, for companies. We match the gear to your budget and driving style, configure it, deliver and set it up — across the EU. See our builds and starting advice on the Simline blog, then write or call for a quote.
Are you an authorised distributor?
Yes, for every brand we carry — MOZA, Simagic, Simucube, Conspit, Heusinkveld, VNM, SimNet, Fanatec and the rest. That means genuine products, full warranty and service with us.
Setup, software and help
Will you help me set it up?
Yes, free of charge — drivers, pedal calibration, FFB profiles for specific games, firmware updates. Write to support@simline.eu. Guides and tests are on the blog.
What software do I need?
The manufacturer's base app (MOZA Pit House, Simagic SimPro Manager, Simucube True Drive, Fanatec Control Panel). Plus SimHub for telemetry, dashboards and LEDs — free.
My PC doesn't see the base. What to check, in order?
Power supply connected and on → USB straight into the motherboard, not a hub → latest manufacturer app → emergency stop released → base and wheel firmware updated. Most tickets end at one of these.
Force feedback is weak or "clipped". Why?
Usually clipping — the game asks for more force than your limit (lower the in-game gain) — or over-aggressive filters in the base app. Write to us and we'll send proven profiles for your base and game.
Should I update firmware?
Yes, but only with the official app, base powered, no unplugging mid-update. Unofficial or modified firmware ends the warranty.
How do I keep the gear going for years?
Clean leather and alcantara with a mild cleaner, not alcohol. Blow out the pedals every few months and re-tighten the bolts. Keep the base away from dust and moisture and don't block the vents. Elastomers and springs are consumables — find them in pedal accessories.
Do you service gear bought elsewhere?
Brands we distribute — yes: under warranty after we verify proof of purchase, out of warranty for a fee after a quote.
