VNM Shifter V1 (Basic Bundle) - H-pattern and sequential shifting from one unit

VNM Shifter V1 (Basic Bundle) does not tie the cockpit to one type of car. Fit the H-pattern gate and it provides six forward gears plus reverse, a layout that feels at home in road cars, historic racers and machinery built around a manual gearbox.

For rally stages or sequential race cars, the included Sequential V2 plate changes the lever to a clear forward-and-back action. Since both gates are supplied in the Basic Bundle, you can switch disciplines without buying a second shifter.

Metal mechanism with adjustable resistance

The casing and mechanism use a full-metal construction built largely from aluminium. At 3.4 kg, this is not a lightweight controller that should be left loose beside the rig. Once firmly bolted down, the force from each shift goes into the mechanism instead of flexing the mounting surface.

Shift resistance is adjustable. A lighter setting suits relaxed road driving, while extra tension gives fast changes a more deliberate mechanical feel. This makes it possible to tune the lever around your reach, driving position and preferred type of car.

Two shift knobs and interchangeable gates

Two Quick Release knobs are supplied. The spherical knob is a natural match for the H-pattern, while the cylindrical version gives the hand a useful shape for repeated sequential pulls and pushes. Changing modes therefore alters both the gate and the part held by the driver.

The standard package includes the 6+R H-pattern plate and Sequential V2 plate. VNM also offers separate 7+R, 5+R and 4+R H-pattern gates for other gearbox layouts. The included hex-key set is useful when changing the configuration or fine-tuning the mechanism.

Basic Bundle contents and cockpit mounting

The Basic Bundle contains the VNM Shifter V1, spherical and cylindrical QR knobs, 6+R H-pattern plate, Sequential V2 plate, USB cable and hex-key set. Table clamps and mounting bolts are not included with this version, so the fixing method should be planned for the intended cockpit.

For an aluminium-profile rig, a rigid side mount gives the lever the support it deserves. The VNM Shifter & Handbrake Plate places the VNM Shifter V1 beside a VNM Handbrake V1 or V1.5. It also keeps the right-hand side of the cockpit neat and reduces unwanted plate movement during firm gear changes.

1. What is the VNM Shifter V1 Basic Bundle?
