Fanatec Bundles

Fanatec bundles are designed for sim racers who want to move to Direct Drive without selecting the wheel base and steering wheel separately. The available configurations differ in torque, steering wheel design and package contents, making it possible to choose anything from a complete first setup to a considerably more powerful system for an established cockpit.

The Simline.eu range covers several approaches to sim racing. Gran Turismo DD Pro focuses on versatility and includes the main components required to start driving, while Gran Turismo DD Extreme and ClubSport F1 use the more powerful ClubSport DD+ wheel base with up to 18 Nm of holding torque.

Direct Drive without selecting every part separately

One of the main advantages of a complete bundle is that the wheel base and steering wheel have already been matched. There is no need to separately check the Quick Release standard, electronic compatibility or basic steering wheel requirements. Depending on the selected package, pedals, a power supply, cables and mounting hardware may also be included.

Every configuration in this category uses Direct Drive technology. The steering shaft is connected directly to the motor rather than using belts or gears between the motor and steering wheel. This provides a more direct path for Force Feedback and allows the system to communicate changes in grip, road surface and vehicle behaviour.

Gran Turismo DD Pro as a complete starting point

The Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro 5 Nm is one of the most complete packages in the category. Alongside the Direct Drive wheel base and Gran Turismo steering wheel, it also includes pedals and a table clamp.

The 280 mm steering wheel was developed together with Polyphony Digital for Gran Turismo. Its controls follow the familiar PlayStation layout, while the front also includes an OLED display and RevLED strip.

The standard configuration provides up to 5 Nm. It can later be upgraded with the Boost Kit 180 to increase maximum torque to 8 Nm. The pedal set can also be expanded with a clutch or Load Cell brake.

Gran Turismo DD Extreme with 18 Nm

If 5 or 8 Nm is not enough, the Gran Turismo DD Extreme 18 Nm moves to the ClubSport DD+ wheel base and a larger 300 mm Gran Turismo steering wheel.

ClubSport DD+ provides up to 18 Nm of holding torque and supports technologies such as FullForce. The steering wheel features an OLED display, RGB lighting, magnetic shifter paddles and additional analogue paddles.

Unlike Gran Turismo DD Pro, the DD Extreme package does not include pedals. It is therefore particularly suitable for users who already own a pedal set or want to choose a more advanced model separately.

ClubSport F1 for Formula racing

Drivers who spend most of their time in Formula cars and prototypes may prefer the Fanatec ClubSport F1 18 Nm.

This bundle uses the ClubSport DD+ 18 Nm wheel base but replaces the traditional GT wheel with a compact 270 mm Formula design. Its buttons, rotary encoders and switches are positioned for quick adjustments without removing your hands from the steering wheel.

This makes the configuration particularly suitable for Formula cars, prototypes and other race cars where frequent setup changes are made directly from the steering wheel.

PlayStation and PC compatibility

PlayStation support is an important feature of these configurations. Gran Turismo DD Pro and systems based on ClubSport DD+ can work with PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 because the required compatibility hardware is located in the wheel base.

The systems can also be used with Windows PCs. The exact availability of Force Feedback effects, telemetry, FullForce and additional wheel functions depends on the individual game.

Xbox compatibility works differently. In this ecosystem, the required electronics are located inside a licensed steering wheel, so compatibility depends on the wheel fitted to the base and support from the selected game.

QR2 and future upgrades

Choosing a complete bundle does not lock the system into its original configuration. Compatible steering wheels, pedals and other controls can be added or replaced later. The QR2 system makes wheel changes easier, allowing one wheel base to be adapted for GT, Formula, rally or road cars.

You can also add Fanatec pedals and accessories, a shifter, handbrake or another steering wheel as the cockpit develops. This makes it possible to upgrade individual parts rather than replacing the complete system.

Which bundle suits your setup?

Gran Turismo DD Pro 5 Nm works well as a complete starting configuration because the package includes the wheel base, steering wheel, pedals and table clamp. It also leaves an upgrade path to 8 Nm through the optional Boost Kit 180.

Gran Turismo DD Extreme is aimed at users looking for considerably stronger Force Feedback while retaining a GT-style steering wheel. ClubSport F1 uses the same 18 Nm class of wheel base but is more focused on Formula cars and prototypes.

Always check the exact package contents before ordering, as pedals need to be selected separately for the 18 Nm configurations.
