Direct Drive with 5 Nm peak torque

The Gran Turismo DD Pro transfers forces directly from the motor to the steering shaft without a belt or gear stage. With the included 5 Nm power supply, this version delivers 5 Nm of peak torque. A high-resolution contactless Hall sensor monitors shaft position, while Fanatec's FluxBarrier technology is designed to improve motor efficiency and smoothness.

The aluminium housing serves as both the structural chassis and a passive heatsink, so the base does not require a cooling fan. The Standard Tuning Menu provides a simplified starting point, while Advanced mode offers more detailed control of force-feedback behaviour. The separately sold Boost Kit 180 raises peak torque to 8 Nm; it is not included with this 5 Nm bundle.

A steering wheel designed for Gran Turismo

The round steering wheel was designed by Polyphony Digital specifically for Gran Turismo. Its 280 mm diameter and low weight support a responsive steering feel, while the tactile rubber grip creates a consistent contact surface. A blue centre stripe helps the driver track the wheel's position.

The front carries controls arranged around the PlayStation interface, including a main five-way directional stick and four additional five-way inputs. A white OLED shows Tuning Menu settings and supported telemetry, while the diffused RevLED strip provides engine-speed information. Ergonomic shift paddles are fitted behind the wheel, and a preinstalled QR2 Lite Wheel-Side connects it to the base.

QR2 Lite, table mounting and ecosystem expansion

The wheel base comes with a QR2 Lite Base-Side Type-C, matched to the preinstalled QR2 Lite Wheel-Side on the steering wheel. The tapered quick-release geometry creates a tight connection between the wheel and shaft. A clamp for tabletops between 5 and 60 mm thick is also included.

Side and bottom T-nut rails support hard mounting, with four M6 T-nuts supplied in the box. The wheel base provides connections for power, USB-C, pedals, handbrake and two shifters; the second shifter port supports sequential devices only. It works with Fanatec CSL, ClubSport and Podium steering wheels according to the installed quick release, as well as compatible Fanatec pedals, shifters and handbrakes.

Steel pedals with contactless sensors

The bundle includes two pedals: throttle and brake. Their arms and bases are made from steel, and both axes use contactless 12-bit Hall sensors. The brake has a stiffer spring than the throttle and a PU-foam damper that adds progressive resistance through the pedal travel.

Pedal-module spacing can be adjusted along the heel rest, and the pedal faces offer height adjustment. The modular construction also permits inverted installation in a suitable cockpit. A CSL Pedals Clutch Kit or CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit can expand the set to three pedals. The latter replaces the standard brake with a pressure-sensing module, upgrades the electronics and allows the original brake pedal to become the clutch.

1. Is this a complete ready-to-race bundle?

Yes. It includes the wheel base, steering wheel, two pedals, table clamp, power supply, and required cables. A compatible console or PC and racing game are also needed.

2. How much torque does this version provide?

The standard 90 W power supply enables 5 Nm peak torque. Maximum output with the linear FFS setting is 4 Nm.

3. Is Boost Kit 180 included?

No. This variant includes the 5 Nm power supply. Boost Kit 180 is sold separately and can later increase peak torque to 8 Nm.

4. Does the bundle work with PlayStation 5 and PS4?

Yes. The wheel base is officially licensed for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Support for individual features also depends on the game.

5. Does the bundle work on PC?

Yes. Fanatec states compatibility with major PC racing games.

6. Does the included steering wheel enable Xbox compatibility?

No. To use the base on Xbox, it must be paired with an Xbox-licensed Fanatec steering wheel, and the game must support the system.

No. The standard brake uses a Hall sensor, stiffer spring, and PU foam damper. A Load Cell brake can be added with the separately sold CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit.

Yes. CSL Pedals Clutch Kit adds a third pedal. Alternatively, Load Cell Kit adds a new brake, allowing the original brake pedal to become the clutch.
