The Fanatec ClubSport Shifter SQ V1.5 is a full-metal sim-racing shifter combining a seven-speed H-pattern with reverse and a sequential mode. A slider on the underside changes mode without unplugging or rebooting the device, removing the knob or using tools. Adjustable shift resistance, a 7th-and-reverse lockout, two aluminium knobs and mounting points on all four sides and the bottom make it easy to adapt the shifter to a cockpit.

1. Which operating modes does the Fanatec ClubSport Shifter SQ V1.5 provide?
It can operate as a seven-speed H-pattern gearbox with reverse or as a two-way sequential shifter.
2. How do I switch between H-pattern and sequential mode?
Use the 8 / SEQ slider underneath the housing. There is no need to unplug or reboot the shifter, remove the knob or use tools.
3. How many gears does the H-pattern provide?
It provides seven forward gears and reverse. Detection of 7th gear depends on the connection method specified by Fanatec.
4. How does the 7th-and-reverse lockout work?
Press the shaft down before moving the lever into position 7 or R. This makes it harder to select the outer gate by accident.
5. Is shift resistance adjustable?
Yes. Resistance is adjusted through the opening in the housing with a 5 mm Allen key. The key is not included.
6. Can the shifter operate as a standalone PC device?
Yes. The included ClubSport USB Adapter connects it directly to a PC. If it is not recognised correctly, set the adapter mode to ClubSport Shifter in the Fanatec App.
7. Can it be used with a Logitech or Thrustmaster steering wheel?
On PC, it can operate through the included USB adapter alongside a steering wheel from any brand, including compatible Logitech or Thrustmaster models. The game must support the shifter as a separate input device.
8. Does the shifter work on consoles?
Yes, only when connected through a compatible Fanatec wheel base or racing wheel and used in a game that supports a shifter. Direct console connection through the ClubSport USB Adapter is not supported.
9. How can the shifter be mounted?
It can be mounted on any of its four sides with the supplied M5 T-nuts or from the bottom with four M6 bolts. Mounting bolts and Allen keys are not included.
10. What is supplied in the box?
The ClubSport Shifter SQ V1.5, aluminium H-pattern knob, aluminium sequential knob, ClubSport USB Adapter, RJ12 cable, RJ12-to-PS/2 cable and M5 T-nuts.
