The Fanatec CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC is an officially licensed 300 mm sim-racing wheel designed for rallying and other cars suited to a round rim. Officially licensed 300 mm WRC rally wheel

This model is designed around rally driving and is officially licensed by the World Rally Championship. Fanatec also uses it in official WRC Esports competitions. The round 300 mm rim is close to the size used in many real cars, while its shape lets the driver reposition their hands freely during fast corrections and high steering angles.

WRC branding, a tyre-tread graphic and orange accents on the paddles and stitching define the design. The RevStripe™ at the top of the rim combines a centre marker with a multicolour rev indicator, helping the driver monitor wheel position and supported telemetry without looking away from the stage.

Alcantara, aluminium and a design made for rapid inputs

The grip is wrapped in genuine Alcantara® and finished with an orange cross-stitched seam. The material covers the full round rim, allowing a wide range of hand positions. Brushed-aluminium spokes form the rigid front structure, while the rear cover is fibre-reinforced.

Orange metal shifter paddles are positioned behind the rim. Their Snapdome™ mechanism produces a defined click when activated. The paddles can be removed to make room for the separately available ClubSport Static Shifter Paddles, which remain fixed relative to the wheel base.

RevStripe, LED display and wheel-based controls

A three-digit LED display is integrated below the RevStripe™ module. In compatible games or through supported software, it can display information such as speed or the selected gear. The available readouts depend on the game, platform, driver and implementation of the Fanatec SDK.

The standard button layout follows the Xbox One interface, while the included Racing Style button caps provide more universal markings. The wheel also includes a four-way D-pad with push action. Controls on the rim provide access to the compatible wheel base's Tuning Menu, allowing supported settings to be adjusted during gameplay.

QR2 Lite, Xbox support and the required Fanatec wheel base

The current CRD-9020016-WW version has a preinstalled QR2 Lite Wheel-Side. Direct attachment requires a wheel base fitted with the matching QR2 Base-Side. The product page marks this configuration as 8 Nm maximum, while Podium DD1, DD2 and DD1 PS4 wheel bases operate with this wheel in Low Torque Mode only.

The electronics responsible for Xbox compatibility are located inside the steering wheel. When it is attached to a compatible wheel base, that base and connected Fanatec peripherals such as pedals, a shifter or handbrake can operate on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation support instead depends on using a PlayStation-licensed wheel base. A wheel base is mandatory and not included; a firmware update may be required before first use.

1. Is a wheel base included?

No. This product is the steering wheel with a preinstalled QR2 Lite Wheel-Side. A compatible Fanatec wheel base is mandatory and sold separately.

2. Which quick release is included with the current version?

A preinstalled QR2 Lite Wheel-Side. The wheel base must have a matching QR2 Base-Side. If it uses another standard, verify support for a suitable wheel-side component before purchase.

3. Can the steering wheel operate above 8 Nm?

Not in the configuration described here. The current product page marks the wheel as 8 Nm MAX. Podium DD1, DD2 and DD1 PS4 bases operate in Low Torque Mode only with this wheel.
