Italian Alcantara, aluminium magnetic shifters, nine RevLEDs, a three-digit display and QR2 Wheel-Side make it a complete wheel for compatible Fanatec bases. A wheel base is not included.

320 mm format based on the BMW M3 GT2

The 320 mm diameter matches a full-size GT steering wheel and supports smooth steering inputs without the quick response associated with smaller rims. Its rim shape and grip positions reproduce the steering wheel used in the BMW M3 GT2, and the product is officially licensed by BMW.

The rim is wrapped in genuine Italian-made Alcantara. The material should be cleaned regularly, and gloves help reduce wear during long sessions. A revised internal structure is 30% lighter than the previous BMW M3 GT2 wheel, reducing the mass that the wheel base must accelerate and decelerate.

Magnetic paddle shifters

The ClubSport Magnetic Paddle Module is pre-installed. Its black anodised aluminium paddle plates are 3 mm thick, and the mechanism uses neodymium magnets. The module cage is machined from aluminium.

The standard module provides two shifter inputs. It can be replaced with the optional Podium Advanced Paddle Module when the setup requires additional clutch paddles and analogue inputs. That upgrade is not included with the steering wheel.

Buttons, FunkySwitch and telemetry

The front panel provides 11 buttons, an analogue joystick and a seven-way FunkySwitch. The latter combines four directional inputs, a push action and a rotary encoder, allowing it to operate vehicle menus or wheel base settings without reaching for a keyboard.

Nine RevLEDs can display engine speed, while the three-digit LED display shows telemetry and Tuning Menu values. The available information and LED behaviour depend on game support. The wheel electronics can receive firmware updates through a compatible Fanatec wheel base.

QR2 and the required Fanatec wheel base

QR2 Wheel-Side is supplied as a separate component for installation on the steering wheel. The wheel only operates when connected to a compatible Fanatec base. The manufacturer's list includes CSL DD, Gran Turismo DD Pro, ClubSport DD, ClubSport DD+, selected ClubSport V2 and V2.5 bases, and the specified Podium and CSL Elite models.

Functionality on Windows PC depends on the game and the connected base. PlayStation operation requires a wheel base licensed for the relevant console, while button and telemetry support remains game-dependent. The steering wheel is not compatible with Xbox systems.
