VNM Direct Drive Elite - 18 Nm matched to its place in the VNM range

VNM Direct Drive Elite delivers 18 Nm. This level provides useful reserve for heavier wheels and cars that should place a firm load on the driver's hands. The base can reproduce a sharp impact, yet a sensible profile still leaves room for the smaller changes that appear before grip gives way.

Elite suits a driver who does not require 25 or 32 Nm but wants more headroom than Premier offers. Strength is best tuned around the car class and session length. A one-hour GT race calls for a different profile from a short practice run in a car without assisted steering.

VNM Direct Drive Elite - 23bit encoder

23-bit encoder and brushless motor

The brushless motor uses five pole pairs and shaft position is read by a 23-bit encoder. With the motor connected directly to the shaft, there are fewer transmission components between the control signal and the driver, supporting a prompt and readable response.

The housing measures 130 × 130 × 247 mm without the Quick Release. Its 360 W power supply is matched to this model, while the listed wheelbase weight is 13.3 kg. Both figures should be considered when choosing a wheel deck and balancing the cockpit.

Telemetry Force Feedback and game setup

Experimental Telemetry Force Feedback uses data supplied by the game. VNM names iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, rFactor 2 and Le Mans Ultimate. The feature may continue to evolve, so check the current software and title-specific instructions before setting it up.

The base also operates as a conventional Direct Drive device in compatible PC titles. Final FFB character depends on wheelbase settings, in-game values, the selected car and the wheel being used. A profile built for this model is generally more useful than values copied from another base.

Mounting, package contents and the VNM ecosystem

Front, side and bottom mounting options are supported. Four M8 bolts and a hex key set are supplied, but compatibility with a particular cockpit must be checked against its hole pattern. As torque rises, a rigid wheel deck and correctly tightened profile joints become increasingly important.

The box contains the wheelbase, power supply, USB A-B and USB A-C cables, EMC stop button and base-side Quick Release. The steering wheel and wheel-side QR component are not included. The VNM Apex-R is a matching option within the VNM ecosystem.

The optional VNM Slipring carries the signal through the rotating connection so the cable does not wind around the shaft.
