VNM Brake/Throttle Bracket - questions and answers
1. What is VNM Brake/Throttle Bracket used for?
It mounts one VNM Direct Haptic reactor at either the brake or throttle pedal. The bracket provides a firm connection between the reactor and pedal.
2. Does one bracket cover both brake and throttle?
No. One bracket holds one reactor on one pedal. Haptics on both brake and throttle require two VNM-HPRBK01 brackets and two reactors.
3. Is the reactor included?
No. This product is the mounting bracket. Order the VNM Direct Haptic Pedals Reactor separately.
4. Can VNM-HPRBK01 be fitted to a clutch?
The clutch uses a different product: the VNM Clutch Bracket with product code VNM-HPRBK02.
5. Why is secure mounting important?
A firm connection directs the pulse into the pedal and limits vibration spreading through unrelated rig parts. Loose hardware can make the cue less distinct.
6. Is VNM Controller Box V2 required?
Yes. A working setup requires the VNM Controller Box V2. An older V1 box must be replaced before Direct Haptic can operate.
7. Is a power supply required?
Yes. The reactor needs the VNM Power Supply. The bracket contains neither power hardware nor control electronics.
8. Does the bracket create vibration?
No. It is a mechanical mounting part. The Direct Haptic reactor produces the pulse, while the bracket holds it at the brake or throttle.
9. What should be checked after installation?
Check the fasteners and route the cable outside the pedal's moving components. Inspect the mounting points again after the first few sessions.
10. What is needed for brake or throttle haptics?
Each chosen pedal needs one VNM-HPRBK01 bracket and one reactor. The complete system also requires Controller Box V2 and the power supply.
