VNM Direct Haptic Pedals Reactor - Telemetry you can feel through the pedal

VNM Direct Haptic Pedals Reactor converts simulator telemetry into short, distinct pulses at the pedal. Instead of relying only on a dashboard icon or sound cue, the driver receives another channel of information without looking away from the road.

The reactor complements the mechanical feel rather than replacing it. Springs, elastomers and the load cell continue to determine resistance and measurement, while pedal haptics add a separate layer of live feedback.

ABS, traction control and grip cues

The unit can reproduce cues linked to ABS, traction control, wheel slip and surface detail. On the brake, the onset of ABS becomes easier to identify. A reactor fitted to the throttle can indicate intervention when the driven wheels begin to lose grip. Available effects still depend on the telemetry exposed by the game and the software setup.

A well-tuned pulse helps the driver adjust pressure quickly without overwhelming the natural movement of the pedal. The aim is a clear cue, not constant vibration.

A dedicated bracket for each pedal position

VNM-DRHT01 is one reactor for one mounting position, so the bracket must match the selected pedal. The VNM Brake/Throttle Bracket is used on the accelerator or brake. A clutch installation requires the separate VNM Clutch Bracket.

A firm connection reduces vibration lost through loose hardware. It is best to decide which pedals need feedback first, then order the matching number of reactors and brackets.

Controller Box V2 and system power

Operation requires the VNM Controller Box V2. An older Controller Box V1 must be replaced before Direct Haptic can be used. Current VNM pedal sets may already include the newer controller, so checking the label avoids buying it twice.

The VNM Power Supply is also required. A reactor on its own is not a ready-to-run haptic kit: it must be combined with the controller, power supply and the bracket made for the selected pedal.

VNM Direct Haptic Pedals Reactor - questions and answers

1. What is VNM Direct Haptic Pedals Reactor?

It is a single reactor mounted to a pedal. It receives telemetry-based commands and turns them into physical pulses, giving the driver another source of information without relying on the screen.

2. Which effects can the reactor produce?

The system can communicate ABS, traction-control intervention, wheel slip and surface detail. The exact range depends on the telemetry made available by each title.

3. Does one unit cover all three pedals?

No. VNM-DRHT01 is one reactor for one pedal position. A brake and throttle installation requires two reactors together with the matching brackets.

4. Which bracket is needed for the brake or throttle?

Use the VNM Brake/Throttle Bracket. It holds the reactor firmly so the pulse reaches the pedal rather than being lost through loose hardware.

5. Can the reactor be fitted to a clutch?

Yes, but the clutch uses a different mounting part. Fit the VNM Clutch Bracket, then configure the assigned feedback in the system software.

6. Is VNM Controller Box V2 required?

Yes. Direct Haptic works through the VNM Controller Box V2. Pedals using the older V1 box need the updated controller before haptic feedback can be enabled.

7. Do current VNM pedals have the correct controller?

Recent VNM pedal sets may already include Controller Box V2. Read the marking on the unit supplied with your pedals first, as a second controller may not be necessary.

8. Is a power supply included with the reactor?

No. The reactor is sold as an individual component, and operation also requires the VNM Power Supply. Order the power supply separately.

9. Does Direct Haptic change pedal resistance?

It does not replace the spring, elastomers or damper. The reactor adds telemetry pulses, while the underlying resistance and travel remain a result of the pedal's mechanical setup.

10. What should be checked before ordering?

Count the required reactors, confirm the controller-box version and select a bracket for every pedal. Also verify the power arrangement and telemetry support in the simulators you use.
