VNM Power Supply – questions and answers
1. What is the VNM Power Supply used for?
It supplies power to VNM Direct Haptic reactors mounted on sim-racing pedals. These reactors turn telemetry into physical cues that can be felt through the driver’s feet.
2. Does a Direct Haptic reactor require external power?
Yes. The VNM Direct Haptic Pedals Reactor needs an external supply. Connecting the reactor to a pedal or control module alone does not provide its operating power.
3. Do I need another supply for a two-reactor set?
Not when purchasing the Set 2 variant. VNM includes a power supply with its two-reactor packages. Check the selected package name before ordering a separate adapter.
4. Is a supply included with one reactor?
No. The single-reactor Set 1 is sold without a power supply. A separate VNM Power Supply is therefore needed unless a suitable original adapter is already available in the setup.
5. Does it replace the VNM Controller Box V2?
No. The power adapter delivers energy, while the VNM Controller Box V2 handles system communication and control. A complete installation uses them for separate purposes.
6. Can Direct Haptic operate with Controller Box V1?
The older V1 controller needs to be replaced with Controller Box V2. V2 is also required when VNM reactors are adapted for use with third-party pedals.
7. Which mains voltage does it accept?
The published specification lists an input range of 100–240 V AC and a frequency of 50–60 Hz. The exact output voltage and current are not stated on the product page.
8. Can a generic adapter be used instead?
Compatibility should not be assumed. A matching plug does not confirm the required output voltage, current or polarity. The dedicated supply is the appropriate choice for VNM Direct Haptic.
9. Does VNM Power Supply require software?
The adapter itself needs no driver or configuration. Software controls the telemetry effects generated by the wider haptic system, while the supply remains an electrical power source.
10. What is included with this product?
This listing covers the VNM Power Supply. Direct Haptic reactors, Controller Box V2 and pedal brackets for the throttle, brake or clutch are separate products.
