When a separate supply is needed

VNM includes a power supply with its two-reactor Set 2 packages. Customers buying one of those variants do not need to add a second unit. A separate VNM Power Supply is mainly useful when building a system from an individual reactor package, completing an installation that has no suitable supply or replacing a missing adapter.

Checking the exact package name prevents buying the same component twice. The single-reactor Set 1 does not include a supply, whereas Set 2 does. Pedal brackets for the throttle, brake and clutch remain separate accessories.

Power and control are separate jobs

The power adapter does not replace the control module. Within a complete setup, the VNM Controller Box V2 handles system communication and signal processing, while VNM Power Supply delivers energy to the haptic hardware. Each component has a distinct role.

Current VNM Pedals and VNM Lite Pedals are supplied with the V2 controller. Owners of an older Controller Box V1 need the newer module before adding Direct Haptic. V2 is also required when the VNM reactors are adapted to third-party pedals.

Wide-range AC input

The published electrical specification lists a 100–240 V AC input and a frequency range of 50–60 Hz. The manufacturer does not provide the exact output voltage and current on the product page, so a replacement should not be selected from the model code or connector appearance alone.

Keep the adapter in a ventilated part of the rig and route its cable without tight bends or constant tension. Disconnect mains power before changing the system wiring. VNM Power Supply needs no driver or separate configuration; telemetry effects are adjusted through the software used by the haptic system.

1. What is the VNM Power Supply used for?

It supplies power to VNM Direct Haptic reactors mounted on sim-racing pedals. These reactors turn telemetry into physical cues that can be felt through the driver’s feet.

2. Does a Direct Haptic reactor require external power?

Yes. The VNM Direct Haptic Pedals Reactor needs an external supply. Connecting the reactor to a pedal or control module alone does not provide its operating power.

3. Do I need another supply for a two-reactor set?
