The Fanatec CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit converts standard CSL Pedals into a force-sensitive brake system. It combines a custom load cell, 65 Shore elastomers and upgraded electronics with USB and RJ12 connections. The original brake can be reassigned as the clutch after installation.

Force-based brake input

The load cell measures the force applied to the pedal rather than arm position alone. This supports repeatable braking through muscle memory and makes it easier to reproduce the same pressure from lap to lap.

Brake sensitivity is adjustable in software, with the manufacturer specifying a minimum setting of approximately 10 kg. The practical maximum depends on setup and pedal mounting.

65 Shore elastomers and short travel

A stack of 65 Shore elastomers provides resistance. The result is a firmer, pressure-focused feel compared with the standard spring and PU foam brake.

Minimum and maximum values should be calibrated after changing the setup. Calibration data is stored in the pedal electronics.

A third pedal without a separate Clutch Kit

The Load Cell Kit takes the brake position, while the original brake module can move to the clutch position. A separate CSL Pedals Clutch Kit is unnecessary in this configuration.

Pedal spacing and face height remain adjustable. All modules should be hard-mounted because load-cell braking produces substantially higher forces than the standard set.

USB or RJ12 connection

Upgraded electronics let the complete pedal set connect directly to a PC through USB. Alternatively, RJ12 connects it to a compatible Fanatec wheel base.

USB and RJ12 must never be used at the same time. Console operation requires the pedals to connect through a compatible Fanatec wheel base, as direct USB is intended for PC.
