Steel foundation for a first sim racing pedal set
The package combines throttle and brake modules on steel bases with a shared heel rest. Vertical rear plates let the pedals brace against a wall or another firm stop when a cockpit hard mount is not available.
The brake uses a stiffer spring and a PU foam damper. It does not measure force like a load cell, but it provides clearly greater resistance than the throttle.
Contactless sensing on both axes
Throttle and brake use 12-bit Hall sensors. Position is measured without mechanical contact inside the sensor, reducing wear in the components responsible for signal acquisition.
The signal is sent through RJ12 directly to a compatible Fanatec wheel base. Standalone PC connection requires either the CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit or a ClubSport USB Adapter.
Adjustable spacing and modular layout
Each pedal can be moved sideways across the heel rest. Pedal faces also support height adjustment, making it easier to match the set to foot size and footwear.
The modular design allows separate installation, including inverted layouts. The final mounting arrangement must leave the pedal arms unobstructed and keep the cables accessible.
Two upgrade paths
The optional CSL Pedals Clutch Kit adds a third clutch pedal. Alternatively, the CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit replaces the standard brake, which can then be reused as the clutch.
Console operation requires connection through a compatible Fanatec wheel base. The RJ12 plug is not a USB interface and must not be connected directly to a computer.

1. How many pedals are included?
Three: throttle, brake, and clutch. The set is supplied fully assembled.
2. How does the brake work?
The Load Cell measures force rather than pedal travel. Maximum force at the pedal plate is 90 kg.
3. Can the brake stiffness be changed?
Yes. The package includes 65, 75, and 85 Shore elastomers and an alternative stiffer preload spring.
4. Do the pedals work without a wheel base?
Yes. They can connect directly to a Windows PC through USB.
5. Can RJ12 and USB be connected at the same time?
No. Fanatec explicitly warns against using both connections simultaneously.
6. Can the clutch be removed?
Yes. The set supports a two-pedal layout and lateral repositioning of the modules.
7. Is inverted mounting possible?
Yes. Individual modules can be mounted without the heel rest, including in an inverted arrangement; the required structure and hardware are not included.
8. Does the set work on consoles?
Yes, when connected by RJ12 to a wheel base compatible with the relevant console. Direct USB operation is for PC.
