Mount the QS-BT1 behind the seat

These brackets connect a Qubic System QS-BT1 belt tensioner to an aluminium-profile cockpit. The left and right brackets have mirrored shapes and work as a pair. SIMGASM's installation images place the tensioner at the rear of the cockpit, behind the seat area. This product contains no QS-BT1 motors or electronics. It is a mount for a tensioner you already own or purchase separately.

Measure the space inside the frame

The set supports two internal mounting widths: 420 mm or 500 mm. This means the space between the structural members at the mounting location, not the cockpit's overall width measured across its outer edges. SIMGASM does not claim continuous adjustment to every width between those figures. For another cockpit, check the mounting points as well as the internal spacing.

Simgasm confirms compatibility with all four of its aluminium-profile cockpit ranges: Hobby, Club, Sport and Pro. You do not need a different bracket set for each of those ranges. For a third-party cockpit, compare internal width, access to mounting points and the space behind the seat. An aluminium-profile frame alone does not establish compatibility.

Align the brackets before final tightening

Slots in the steel brackets allow their position to be corrected during installation. Position both brackets and the tensioner first, then tighten the assembly in accordance with the equipment instructions. Before switching on, check clearance for cables, belts and seat travel if a slider is fitted. The brackets are 6 mm thick; they do not replace separate harness anchor points.
