A silver motion-ready rig with exposed engineering

SIMGASM Sport Silver treats the frame as part of the equipment's visual language. Its natural-looking finish highlights the 40 x 120 mm profile sections, straight load paths and metal brackets. The result suits an engineering-led room or a workshop-style simulator where the structure should remain visible rather than disappear behind the controls.

SIMGASM recommends Sport or Pro for wheelbases above 26 and up to 40 Nm. A lower-torque base is equally valid when the buyer wants the 300 kg pedal-deck rating, integrated cable routing or future motion preparation. Alternative sizes and tiers can be compared under sim racing cockpits.

Build the GT or Formula posture as one system

Build the GT or Formula posture as one system

The 600 x 1350 x 800 mm chassis gives the wheel, pedals and seat one adjustable reference. Profile slots allow depth, height and angle changes, making an upright GT posture or a lower Formula-style arrangement possible. The final range is defined by the selected seat shell, side brackets and slider as much as by the cockpit itself.

A 300 kg rated braking load gives the pedal deck structural headroom for firm load-cell settings and selected hydraulic systems. This rating does not confirm every bolt pattern, so the pedal drawing still needs to be compared with the available mounting points. Match the driving posture with a suitable option from sim racing seats.

An installation platform designed to change

Sport Silver can begin as a static rig and accept more complex hardware later. Integrated passthroughs move cable runs into the profiles, while motion-ready construction preserves a route towards future actuator integration. The motion kit, controls and system-specific brackets are not supplied with the base cockpit.

The 38.94 kg chassis arrives in two boxes. Profiles, structural brackets, the chosen wheelbase mount, Apex side arm, heel rest, rubber feet, fasteners, tools, instructions and assembly gloves are included. Trays, device brackets and cable-management additions can be selected from sim rig accessories.

Move between hardware ecosystems without replacing the frame

Move between hardware ecosystems without replacing the frame

The four wheelbase-mount variants classify hardware by housing design. Bottom Mount covers supported underside threads. Front Mount serves listed Fanatec, Simucube and VRS patterns. Side Mount is available for specified Fanatec, MOZA, SIMAGIC and Conspit models, while Asetek Front Mount is dedicated to La Prima, Forte and Invicta.

A chassis torque recommendation is not a mounting ban. A more powerful base may fit mechanically, but its usable torque should be limited to the safe structural range. The reserve can still provide signal headroom and help reduce clipping when driver output and game gain are configured together. Explore current Direct Drive wheelbases and plan the screen with TV and monitor stands.

SIMGASM Sport Silver - questions and answers

1. What defines the Silver edition?

Its finish highlights the 40 x 120 mm profile geometry and gives the rig an engineering-led appearance. Functionally, it retains the Sport pedal rating, cable routing and motion-ready structure.

2. How much room should I reserve?

The chassis itself measures 600 x 1350 x 800 mm. Add clearance for the seat, driver access, display support and the travel of any future motion system.

3. Can it be adjusted for GT and Formula driving?

The profiles support depth, height and angle changes. Seat shape, brackets and slider also determine the final posture, so plan them as one system.

4. Does Sport make sense below 26 Nm?

Yes. The 26-40 Nm statement is a manufacturer recommendation band, not a minimum requirement. Lower-torque equipment can still benefit from the frame, cable routing and pedal deck.

5. Which wheelbases use Front Mount?

The regular version covers listed Fanatec, Simucube and VRS front patterns. It is not compatible with SIMAGIC and does not replace Asetek Front Mount.

6. What is the benefit of the 300 kg pedal rating?

It provides structural headroom for firm brake settings. The actual pedal set still needs a compatible bolt pattern and correct support.

7. Can cables run inside the profiles?

Yes. Integrated passthroughs allow part of the harness to be routed through the frame for a cleaner, more serviceable installation.

8. How is Sport Silver packaged?

The 38.94 kg cockpit arrives in two boxes. Prepare a flat assembly area and sort the profiles, brackets and fasteners before starting.

9. Is a shifter arm included?

Yes, the package contains the Apex side-profile arm. The device and any model-specific adapter remain separate.

10. When is the Pro cockpit the better choice?

Pro is recommended above 40 Nm and adds structural reserve through a 40 x 160 mm main profile. Sport remains the more compact option within its intended band.
