Sabelt P99-E - P99 V2 supplied with the two essential mounts

Sabelt S99-E - P99 V2 supplied with the two essential mounts

Sabelt P99-E is a package built around the P99 V2 cockpit frame. This configuration adds the Sabelt Lite Wheel Deck and Lite Pedal Mount, so the two basic control mounting surfaces do not need to be selected separately. It provides a defined starting point for a Formula-style sim racing station.

The Sabelt Formula cockpit remains open to further configuration. The driver selects the seat, seat brackets, controls and display arrangement independently. Sabelt P99-E supplies the structural frame and mounting areas for the wheelbase and pedals, rather than a complete drive-ready simulator.

Low seating geometry inspired by Formula cars

Low seating geometry inspired by Formula cars

The Sabelt P99 V2 forms the base of the Sabelt P99-E. It belongs to the P Series, developed for drivers who want a position closer to a Formula cockpit. The seat can be installed low in the frame, while the legs and pedals sit higher than in a conventional GT layout.

This arrangement changes how the driver's body is supported. The steering wheel sits closer to chest level, and the legs extend towards the raised pedal area. A reclined Formula-style seat and suitable brackets are needed to make proper use of the chassis geometry.

Final ergonomics depend on the driver's height, seat shell and selected hardware. Component positions are chosen while assembling the frame instead of being limited to a single factory setting.

Lite Wheel Deck and Lite Pedal Mount

In the Sabelt P99-E, the wheelbase is installed on the Sabelt Lite Wheel Deck. The plate is intended for bottom-mounted wheelbases. Central hole groups secure compatible hardware, while elongated side slots connect the deck to the cockpit uprights.

The Sabelt Lite Pedal Mount provides a broad surface for accelerator, brake and clutch pedals. Long channels and smaller hole groups allow a compatible set to be positioned around the low-mounted seat.

Check the bolt patterns before choosing the hardware. Lite Wheel Deck is not a front-mount bracket, and unusual pedals may require an additional adapter. The package does not include the seat, seat mounts, electronics, monitor or computer.

160 × 40 mm profiles with Zero-X finish

160 × 40 mm profiles with Zero-X finish

Sabelt P99-E uses an aluminium structure with 160 × 40 mm base profiles. The wheelbase uprights measure 120 × 40 mm. These large profile sections create a stable platform for Direct Drive hardware, pedals and the remaining cockpit accessories.

Zero-X anodising protects the profiles, while the Matt Black Moon colour and sandblasted soft-touch finish give the cockpit a more refined appearance than untreated industrial extrusion. Red slot covers provide a visual distinction for the P Series.

The structure is completed by 10 mm CNC aluminium side plates with yellow Sabelt detailing and a 10 mm CNC rear plate finished in black. The P99 frame is manufactured in Italy.

Sabelt P99-E - questions and answers

1. What is the Sabelt P99-E?

It is a package based on the P99 V2 cockpit, supplied with the Lite Wheel Deck for a wheelbase and Lite Pedal Mount for pedals.

2. How does P99-E differ from the standard P99 V2?

P99 V2 is the base cockpit frame. The P99-E package adds a conventional bottom-mount wheel deck and the platform required for a compatible pedal set.

3. Which main components are included?

The package combines the Sabelt P99 V2, Sabelt Lite Wheel Deck and Sabelt Lite Pedal Mount.

4. Which driving position is the P99-E intended for?

It is designed around a low Formula position, with the seat close to the base and the driver's legs and pedals placed higher than in a GT cockpit.

5. Which seat is best suited to the P99-E?

A Formula-style seat with a reclined back and raised leg support makes best use of the frame geometry. The seat and its mounting hardware are not included.

6. How is the wheelbase installed?

A compatible wheelbase is bolted from underneath to the Lite Wheel Deck. Its mounting pattern must match one of the available hole arrangements.

7. Is the Lite Wheel Deck a front mount?

No. It is intended for bottom-mounted wheelbases. Hardware requiring front installation needs a different compatible bracket.

8. Will the pedal platform fit every pedal set?

The long slots support several bolt patterns, but not necessarily every model. Check the spacing beforehand and allow for an adapter when using unusual hardware.

9. Can the wheelbase and pedal positions be adjusted?

Their positions are selected during assembly. The usable adjustment range depends on the chosen seat, mounting points and the dimensions of the installed hardware.

10. Is the Sabelt P99-E a complete simulator?

No. It includes the cockpit and two control mounts. The seat, wheelbase, steering wheel, pedals, display, computer and remaining electronics are sold separately.
