Sabelt P99-E - questions and answers
1. What is the Sabelt P99-E?
It is a package based on the P99 V2 cockpit, supplied with the Lite Wheel Deck for a wheelbase and Lite Pedal Mount for pedals.
2. How does P99-E differ from the standard P99 V2?
P99 V2 is the base cockpit frame. The P99-E package adds a conventional bottom-mount wheel deck and the platform required for a compatible pedal set.
3. Which main components are included?
The package combines the Sabelt P99 V2, Sabelt Lite Wheel Deck and Sabelt Lite Pedal Mount.
4. Which driving position is the P99-E intended for?
It is designed around a low Formula position, with the seat close to the base and the driver's legs and pedals placed higher than in a GT cockpit.
5. Which seat is best suited to the P99-E?
A Formula-style seat with a reclined back and raised leg support makes best use of the frame geometry. The seat and its mounting hardware are not included.
6. How is the wheelbase installed?
A compatible wheelbase is bolted from underneath to the Lite Wheel Deck. Its mounting pattern must match one of the available hole arrangements.
7. Is the Lite Wheel Deck a front mount?
No. It is intended for bottom-mounted wheelbases. Hardware requiring front installation needs a different compatible bracket.
8. Will the pedal platform fit every pedal set?
The long slots support several bolt patterns, but not necessarily every model. Check the spacing beforehand and allow for an adapter when using unusual hardware.
9. Can the wheelbase and pedal positions be adjusted?
Their positions are selected during assembly. The usable adjustment range depends on the chosen seat, mounting points and the dimensions of the installed hardware.
10. Is the Sabelt P99-E a complete simulator?
No. It includes the cockpit and two control mounts. The seat, wheelbase, steering wheel, pedals, display, computer and remaining electronics are sold separately.
