Simagic GT Pro Hub(K) Round Leather – a complete 330 mm round steering wheel
Simagic GT Pro Hub(K) Round Leather combines the GT Pro Hub(K) control panel with the 330 mm P-330R-K round leather rim. The result is a complete steering wheel that works well in a cockpit used with several different types of cars.
The full circular rim has no flat lower edge or open upper section. The driver can move their hands freely, use a wider steering range and allow the wheel to slide between the palms during countersteering. This makes the shape suitable for rallying, drifting, road cars and older racing machinery.
At the same time, the GT Pro Hub(K) provides far more controls than a basic round rim attached to a simple hub. Buttons, rotary encoders, multi-position switches, rev lights and four rear paddles allow the wheel to handle the more complex systems found in modern GT cars and prototypes.

A 330 mm P-330R-K round rim
The circular rim maintains the same profile at every steering angle. During a rally correction or a rapid drift transition, the hands do not encounter a flat section appearing in an unexpected position.
A 330 mm diameter provides more leverage than compact 280–300 mm Formula and GT wheels. Strong force feedback becomes easier to manage, especially during long sessions and in cars that require frequent steering corrections.
The wheel is not excessively large. It still responds quickly during a direction change, a short countersteer movement or a tight chicane without feeling slow or heavy.
One rim for several car classes
The round profile feels natural in rally cars, road vehicles, classics and drift cars. These categories often use greater steering rotation and require the hands to change position throughout a corner.
The 330 mm size also remains suitable for many GT and touring cars. It places the hands farther apart than a small circuit wheel while preserving direct control of the front axle.
Because the hub provides a wide selection of controls, this version is not restricted to simple rally cars. It can also operate vehicles with adjustable ABS, traction control, engine maps, brake settings and endurance-racing functions.
Leather finish for regular use
The rim is covered in leather, making it comfortable for driving without gloves. The surface is smooth, while the shaped grip areas help the hands remain settled without excessive pressure through the fingers.
Leather is practical in a cockpit used several times each week. It does not require the brushing and fibre-restoration routine associated with Alcantara or suede-style materials.
After driving, the surface can be wiped gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Strong cleaning products and excessive moisture should be avoided because they may affect the leather finish and colour.
Driving with or without gloves
Racing gloves are not required for normal use. This is convenient during shorter practice sessions when the driver wants to begin without preparing additional equipment.
Gloves can still be useful during long events. They reduce direct contact with perspiration and limit local friction, although their use remains a matter of personal preference.
Carbon-fibre front plate and CNC aluminium housing
The front plate of the GT Pro Hub(K) is made from carbon fibre, while the housing uses CNC-machined aluminium. The assembly creates a rigid connection between the rim, controls, paddles and Quick Release.
Rigidity matters when the wheel is used with a Direct Drive base. During a kerb strike, loss of grip or sudden countersteering movement, the control panel should not flex noticeably in relation to the rim.
Force generated by the motor can therefore reach the driver’s hands directly. Changes in front-axle load, tyre behaviour and the beginning or end of a slide are easier to recognise.
Eight programmable RGB buttons
Eight RGB buttons are placed across the front panel. They can control functions such as the pit limiter, radio, headlights, wipers, DRS, vehicle reset, camera view or pit-stop confirmation.
Colour coding allows the inputs to be separated into clear groups. Pit controls may use red, communication blue and vehicle lighting white.
Once the layout becomes familiar, each function can be recognised through its position and colour without reading every label while driving.
128 button-cap labels
A set of 128 button labels is supplied with the hub. The front panel can therefore match the commands actually used in the selected simulator.
A GT3 layout may differ significantly from a rally or drift profile. Applying the labels after finalising the control assignments avoids unnecessary changes later.
Two seven-way multi-position switches
Each seven-way switch combines directional movement, rotation and a push input. One physical control can therefore replace several individual buttons.
They are useful for black-box navigation, strategy, dashboard pages, simulator menus and car settings. One switch can handle interface navigation while the other manages vehicle adjustments.
This leaves the main RGB buttons available for functions that require an immediate response during a race.
Four thumb rotary encoders
Four smaller encoders sit close to the normal grip positions. They can be operated with the thumbs without completely releasing the rim.
These controls suit settings that may need to be adjusted several times during a lap or stint. Possible assignments include brake balance, engine maps, audio volume, engine braking and differential settings.
The encoders are divided between both sides of the wheel, allowing frequently used controls to be shared between the left and right hands.
Additional Hub(K) rotary encoders
The GT Pro Hub(K) includes two extra rotary encoders that are not fitted to the standard GT Pro Hub. They increase the number of parameters available directly from the steering wheel.
They may be used for fuel strategy, engine maps, dashboard pages or settings specific to the selected car.
In a simpler vehicle, the controls can be reassigned to menu navigation, camera functions or audio. They are not permanently restricted to one purpose.
Illuminated ABS and traction-control rotaries
Two RGB rotary controls are commonly assigned to ABS and traction-control adjustment. Separate positions and lighting make the settings easier to identify.
The selected colour may also help distinguish between profiles. In a car without adjustable ABS or traction control, the rotaries can be remapped to other functions.
Available adjustments depend on the simulator and vehicle. Not every title provides the same controls or telemetry data.
Nine-LED rev-light strip
A strip containing nine LEDs runs across the upper section of the hub. Its usual role is to show rising engine speed and the approaching shift point.
The lights remain close to the driver’s natural line of sight. A colour change can be noticed through peripheral vision without repeatedly checking the virtual dashboard.
Brightness, colours and lighting behaviour can be adjusted through SimPro Manager. Available effects depend on the telemetry supplied by the simulator.
Hall-sensor shift paddles
Shift paddles are installed behind the rim and use Hall sensors. Their movement is detected magnetically rather than through a conventional mechanical electrical contact.
This provides a repeatable activation point and limits wear on the sensing component. Gear changes remain clear during relaxed driving and rapid downshifts before a corner.
In cars using a separate shifter, the paddles may be assigned to other commands where the simulator allows it.
Dual-clutch paddles included
The Hub(K) includes a second pair of paddles that can operate as a dual clutch. This system is useful for standing starts in GT cars, prototypes and other vehicles using sequential transmissions.
The driver can prepare the clutch bite point while holding both paddles before the start. After the lights go out, one paddle is released while the other remains at the prepared value, helping produce a more repeatable launch.
Depending on simulator support, the additional paddles may also operate a handbrake, DRS, push-to-pass or another analogue input.
Simagic QR50 Quick Release included
Simagic GT Pro Hub(K) Round Leather is supplied with the QR50 Quick Release. The wheel-side connector is already part of the package, so another Quick Release is not required for installation on a compatible Simagic wheelbase.
The mechanism allows the wheel to be removed without undoing mounting screws. A round rally or drift wheel can be used for one session, then replaced by a compact Formula wheel on the same base.
Compatibility with Simagic wheelbases
The wheel works with Simagic Direct Drive wheelbases from the Alpha and Alpha EVO ranges:
- Simagic Alpha Mini
- Simagic Alpha
- Simagic Alpha U
- Simagic Alpha EVO Sport
- Simagic Alpha EVO
- Simagic Alpha EVO Pro
- Simagic Alpha EVO Ultra
Button, encoder, switch, paddle and lighting data is communicated to a compatible Simagic wheelbase. A USB cable does not need to remain connected to the rotating steering wheel during normal driving.
Configuration through SimPro Manager
SimPro Manager is used to check all wheel inputs, choose button and rotary colours and adjust the behaviour of the rev-light strip.
Separate profiles can be prepared for different cars. A rally setup may use the buttons for headlights, wipers and vehicle reset, while a GT profile can use the same panel for radio, the pit limiter, ABS and traction control.
Checking for wheel and wheelbase firmware updates before the first session is recommended. Current software helps maintain reliable communication and correct detection of every control.
Round Leather or D-Shape Leather?
The round rim is more flexible when larger steering angles are required. It suits rallying, drifting, road cars and classics because the wheel can move freely between the hands.
Simagic GT Pro Hub(K) D-Shape Leather uses the same control hub but pairs it with a 325 mm flat-bottom rim. It creates more clearance above the driver’s legs and is better matched to GT, touring and endurance cars where the hands remain in a stable position.
Simagic GT Pro Hub(K) Round Leather in regular use
Simagic GT Pro Hub(K) Round Leather is designed for drivers who want the freedom of a traditional round rim without giving up the controls required by a modern racing car.
The 330 mm diameter provides comfortable steering leverage and allows unrestricted hand movement. The leather finish suits regular use, while the rigid hub works well with high-torque Direct Drive wheelbases.
Eight RGB buttons, a wide selection of rotary controls, seven-way switches, Hall-sensor shift paddles, dual-clutch paddles and the included QR50 create a complete wheel for GT cars, rallying, drifting, road vehicles and classics.
