Simagic FX-C

1,381.30zł -8.83%Simagic FX-C is a 290 mm Formula wheel made for single-seaters, prototypes and modern GT cars. Its 5 mm carbon-fibre faceplate, silicone grips, 12 RGB buttons and Hall-sensor magnetic paddles keep the controls close without making the layout feel crowded. It works with Simagic Alpha and Alpha EVO wheelbases.
Simagic FX-C – 290 mm Formula wheel for sim racing
Simagic FX-C was built for cars that rely on short, quick steering inputs rather than large steering angles. Formula cars, prototypes, Hypercars and modern GT machinery are where its compact 290 mm shape feels most natural.
The wheel is small enough to react quickly, but the grips do not feel cramped. Buttons, encoders and switches sit close to the driver’s hands, so most adjustments can be made without looking away from the track. During a longer race, that matters far more than having a large number of controls placed in awkward positions.
Main features of the Simagic FX-C
- Formula-style design with a width of 290 mm
- 5 mm carbon-fibre faceplate
- 12 programmable RGB buttons
- 3 main rotary encoders
- 4 thumb encoders positioned close to the grips
- 7-way switch for menus and additional functions
- Magnetic paddle shifters with Hall sensors
- Optional clutch paddles, depending on the selected version
- Shaped silicone grips
- Simagic Quick Release 50 mm
- Configuration through SimPro Manager
How the FX-C feels on track
The compact size becomes most noticeable through fast direction changes. There is no need for wide arm movements through a chicane, and both hands remain in almost the same position from corner entry to exit. It feels very different from a traditional round rim designed for rally or drifting.
FX-C works best with steering ranges used in Formula cars, LMP prototypes, Hypercars and current-generation GT cars. In these vehicles, the wheel does not need to rotate freely through the driver’s hands, so the closed Formula shape never becomes a limitation.
The carbon-fibre front plate adds stiffness to the entire structure. When the Direct Drive base produces stronger forces, the centre of the wheel stays composed, making kerbs, load changes and the first signs of understeer easier to read.
Silicone grips for regular use
Simagic chose silicone rather than Alcantara. It may look less traditional, but it is a sensible choice for a wheel used several times a week. The grips are easy to clean, handle bare hands well and retain a consistent feel during longer sessions.
The shape supports the hands without forcing the driver to squeeze the wheel constantly. That becomes useful when the wheelbase is running at a higher torque setting and the steering gets heavier through fast corners.
Plenty of controls without an untidy layout
The front of the FX-C includes 12 illuminated buttons, three large rotary encoders and four smaller thumb controls. A 7-way switch completes the layout and works well for black boxes, car menus or dashboard navigation.
There is no single correct way to configure it. One driver may use the encoders for ABS, traction control and brake balance, while another may assign them to engine maps, differential settings or hybrid deployment. The buttons can handle radio, DRS, pit limiter, headlights, wipers and confirmation commands.
RGB lighting is more useful than it first appears. SimPro Manager allows the controls to be grouped by colour, making them easier to identify during a race. Braking adjustments can use one colour, pit-lane functions another, and communication controls a third.
Magnetic paddle shifters
The paddle shifters use Hall sensors instead of traditional mechanical contacts. Their movement is clear and the activation point is easy to feel, even when several downshifts are made in quick succession.
Selected versions also include additional clutch paddles. They are useful for standing starts, particularly in Formula cars and prototypes where separate bite-point settings can be assigned to the left and right paddles.
Compatibility with Simagic wheelbases
FX-C uses the Simagic 50 mm Quick Release and works with Alpha and Alpha EVO Direct Drive wheelbases:
- Simagic Alpha Mini
- Simagic Alpha
- Simagic Alpha U
- Simagic Alpha EVO Sport
- Simagic Alpha EVO
- Simagic Alpha EVO Pro
- Simagic Alpha EVO Ultra
Before the first session, it is worth checking for firmware updates for both the steering wheel and the wheelbase. Some Alpha EVO configurations may also require the communication mode intended for earlier-generation Simagic wheels.
Installation on third-party wheelbases
Mechanical installation on selected third-party wheelbases may be possible with the correct Quick Release, adapter or spacer. A physical fit, however, does not automatically provide full electronic compatibility.
FX-C was designed mainly for the Simagic ecosystem. Buttons, RGB lighting, encoders and paddle shifters may require a separate connection method or may remain inactive when the wheel is installed on another brand of wheelbase.
Before ordering mounting parts, the bolt pattern, power supply and data connection should all be checked for the exact setup.
Pedals that suit the FX-C
The steering wheel can be used with pedals from any manufacturer. Staying within the Simagic ecosystem can still make setup and future expansion a little easier.
- Simagic P500 – an accessible Load Cell set for drivers moving beyond entry-level pedals
- Simagic P700 – a more adjustable design with room for later upgrades
- Simagic P1000 – a modular pedal system supporting haptic units and additional accessories
- Simagic P2000 – hydraulic pedals for more advanced sim racing cockpits
Where the Simagic FX-C fits best
FX-C is aimed mainly at drivers who spend their time in Formula cars, prototypes, Hypercars and modern GT machinery. It is not as versatile as a round rim, but it does its intended job very well. The size feels right, the grips are comfortable and the main controls are always close to the hands.
It is also a sensible alternative to a more expensive wheel with a built-in screen. Telemetry can remain on a monitor, mobile device or separate dashboard, while the steering wheel itself stays lighter and less complicated.

Summary
Simagic FX-C does not try to replace every wheel in a sim racing setup. Its compact shape, detailed control layout and Formula-style design are best suited to single-seaters, prototypes and modern GT cars. In those conditions it gives the driver quick access to adjustments and keeps both hands in a stable position throughout the lap.
