SIMGASM – a modular ecosystem for building a racing simulator

SIMGASM is a European brand developing equipment for personal sim racing setups. Its core range consists of aluminium-profile cockpits, complemented by seats, monitor stands and mounting components. The individual parts form a shared system, allowing you to begin with the frame and later add a display, keyboard mount, shifter bracket or other equipment.

The brand does not base its catalogue on a single layout. It offers structures with different levels of rigidity and expansion potential, several wheelbase mounting options, and solutions for both single-screen and multi-monitor configurations. This makes it easier to match the cockpit to your current hardware without limiting future upgrades.

Four cockpit ranges: Hobby, Club, Sport and Pro

The SIMGASM family includes four levels of construction. Hobby is a compact foundation for a first permanent setup. Club provides more room for regular use and future expansion. Sport is intended for stronger hardware, organised cable routing and more advanced configurations. Pro is the flagship range, designed for maximum rigidity and substantial headroom for additional modules.

Your choice should be based on the wheelbase, braking force, available space and plans for the coming years. A lighter setup does not always require the largest frame. However, if the cockpit will eventually carry a powerful Direct Drive wheelbase, demanding pedals, several displays or a motion system, it is worth considering that direction from the start.

A wheelbase mount matched to your hardware

SIMGASM cockpits are available with different steering-section configurations: Bottom Mount, Front Mount, Side Mount and Asetek Front Mount. This is not merely a visual difference. The mounting method must match the wheelbase housing and its factory mounting points. The correct option improves leg clearance, makes steering-wheel height easier to adjust and allows the structure to perform as intended.

Before ordering, check the exact wheelbase model, bolt pattern and selected installation method. This is especially important for units mounted from the front or sides. If the hardware has not yet been selected, browsing the current range of sim racing cockpits is a useful starting point before comparing them with the planned wheelbase and pedals.

Core and Atlas seats for GT and Formula positions

The current range offers two main seating directions. The SIMGASM Core Recline Seat works well for everyday sim racing, shared cockpits and setups where the backrest angle needs to be changed quickly. The SIMGASM Atlas Formula has a fixed backrest and is designed for a lower, more reclined position with the pedals raised relative to the seat.

For users looking for a different finish, the SIMGASM Atlas Formula Carbon is also available. When choosing a seat, check its dimensions, mounting method, intended driving position and compatibility with the brackets. Atlas seats require a side-mounting solution such as the SIMGASM Universal Seat Mount. Other available options can be compared in the sim racing seats category.

Core and Apex monitor stands

SIMGASM divides its display supports into cockpit-mounted solutions and freestanding stands. The compact Core Integrated Monitor Stand supports VESA 75 × 75 and 100 × 100 mm. The freestanding Apex Monitor Stand expands support to VESA 200 × 200 mm. Multi-display structures are also available, including the Apex Triple Monitor Stand.

An integrated stand takes up less floor space and moves with the cockpit. A freestanding structure separates the display from frame vibration and gives you greater freedom when adjusting viewing distance. Before choosing, confirm the number of displays, VESA pattern, monitor weight and the target angle of the side panels. Current solutions in this class are available under TV and monitor stands.

Accessories that organise and expand the setup

A modular frame becomes most useful when equipment can be positioned exactly where it is needed. SIMGASM offers products such as the Keyboard Swivel Mount, Mouse Tray, Shifter & Handbrake Mount, Heel Rest, seat adjustment components, Cup Holder and Accessory Holder.

Front Mount, Side Mount and Asetek Front Mount variants are also available for compatible cockpits. This means that changing the wheelbase does not necessarily require replacing the entire frame. Before adding an accessory, check the cockpit range, mounting side and required fasteners. More products for expanding the setup are available under sim rig accessories.

Personalisation without sacrificing function

SIMGASM stands out through its wide choice of cockpit finishes. The main ranges are available in options including black, white and silver, while the SIMGASM Hobby Custom Color product page offers more expressive frame finishes.

Colour does not change the frame's basic function, but it lets you coordinate the cockpit with the steering wheel, seat, lighting and the wider room. Choose the correct range, wheelbase mount and seating layout first. The finish should come next. Following this order reduces the risk of selecting an attractive configuration that does not suit the electronics or intended driving position.
