The highest level of simulation

Qubic System QS-S25 is a full-size 6DOF motion platform for racing and flight installations. Six actuators work between the lower and upper frames, allowing the complete cockpit to move as one system together with the user and all hardware fitted to it.

The system can carry up to 250 kg of total moving load. This limit must include the driver or pilot, seat, controls, displays and every accessory attached to the moving section of the platform.

All six degrees of freedom

QS-S25 delivers three linear movements: surge moves the cockpit forwards and backwards, sway handles lateral movement and heave raises or lowers the platform. These are combined with three angular movements: roll, pitch and yaw.

The platform can therefore reproduce acceleration, braking, elevation changes, chassis lean, lateral displacement and rotation at the same time. The range, speed and acceleration available on each axis are listed separately in the technical specification.

Industrial-grade linear actuators

Six QS-220 linear actuators generate both large platform movements and short impulses taken from game telemetry. Each actuator provides 100 mm of stroke, while the platform geometry converts their combined movement into all six degrees of freedom.

The control system responds to telemetry with latency below 8 ms. This allows rapid direction changes, suspension impacts and brief physical cues to remain closely synchronised with the image and the driver's control inputs.

Modular construction for easier installation

QS-S25 is supplied as separate modules that can pass through standard doorways and be assembled in the target room. The complete system weighs approximately 350 kg, so the access route, floor capacity and clearance required for the full motion envelope must be checked before delivery.

The platform can operate from 120 or 230 V AC, although performance may be limited on 120 V. Anchoring plates are included, and the installation method and safety distances must follow the manual and the conditions at the installation site.

Car control at the edge of grip

In racing simulators, the six axes separate the cues created by weight transfer, brake dive, acceleration, cornering and chassis rotation. Yaw and sway help the driver recognise the beginning of a slide before it becomes apparent from the screen alone.

Qubic Manager allows motion intensity and individual effects to be adjusted for the selected car and circuit. The same QS-S25 can therefore be configured for a road car, formula car, GT racer or rally vehicle without mechanical changes to the platform.

A platform for professional flight simulation

In flight simulators, QS-S25 uses surge, sway, heave, roll, pitch and yaw to reproduce take-off, climbing, banking, stalls and spins. Movement is calculated from telemetry supplied by compatible software rather than from the image displayed on the monitor.

Washout filters gradually return the platform towards its neutral position, preserving travel for the next manoeuvre. Profiles can be adjusted for the aircraft type, control sensitivity and the level of motion accepted by the user.

Haptic feedback from 0 to 100 Hz

The actuators reproduce both cockpit movement and vibration across a 0-100 Hz range. In racing titles these effects can represent engine operation, road texture, kerbs and tyre slip, while flight profiles can use them for airframe vibration or turbulence.

Haptic effects are produced by the same system that moves the platform. A separate set of tactile transducers is not required, and the effect level can be adjusted in Qubic Manager independently of the main motion axes.

Prepared for QS-BT1 integration

QS-S25 can be expanded with the Qubic System QS-BT1 belt tensioner. A dedicated bracket is included with the Cockpit Set, while the tensioner itself is sold separately.

QS-BT1 changes belt tension in response to telemetry, adding physical cues for braking, acceleration and sustained loads. The belts must be adjusted correctly, and cables must remain outside the actuator movement zone before the system is enabled.

Quiet and efficient operation

The QS-S25 drives and control system are designed to limit operating noise, allowing the platform to be used in homes, VR studios, training centres and entertainment venues. The manufacturer does not publish one fixed sound-pressure value for every hardware configuration and motion profile.

The system is prepared for extended sessions and maintains stable thermal performance during continuous operation. Actual noise also depends on the floor, installed cockpit, profile intensity and any movement or looseness in additional hardware.
