Steering wheel quick releases

Sim racing steering wheel quick releases – all standards in one place

A quick release (QR) is the mechanism that connects a steering wheel to the shaft of a Direct Drive base, allowing fast tool-free swapping. Choosing the right quick release is critical — each DD base uses its own standard, and using an incompatible QR can lead to poor performance or damage. At Simline you'll find quick releases and adapters for all popular sim racing bases:

Dedicated quick releases – native DD base standards

Fanatec – quick releases and adapters

  • Fanatec QR1 – the original first-generation Fanatec standard, used with older bases
  • Fanatec QR2 – the newer Fanatec standard with improved rigidity and centring precision
  • Fanatec QR2 PRO – the PRO version with even more precise guidance and reduced play
  • Fanatec PCD Adapter – adapter for mounting wheels with a non-native Fanatec PCD bolt pattern
  • PCD Adapter 6×70 to 3×50.8 – bolt pattern conversion adapter from 6×70mm to 3×50.8mm
  • SRM Tiny Emulator for Fanatec bases – communication emulator allowing third-party steering wheels to be used on Fanatec bases without losing base functionality

Thrustmaster adapters

Spacers and accessories

  • Wheel spacer – a spacer that increases the distance between the base and the steering wheel, adjusting its depth relative to the display or rig mounting position
