A compact seat mover for limited spaces

Qubic System QS-H13 moves the seat in roll and pitch while the cockpit base, steering controls and pedals remain stationary. Its mechanism occupies little space beneath the seat, making it possible to add motion where a complete moving platform would not fit or would restrict access.

The included adapters support installation on most rigid aluminium-profile cockpits without drilling additional holes. The unit accepts 115/230 V power, and its direct USB connection means that a QS-MC6 controller is not required.

Integrated vibration and haptic feedback

QS-H13 produces effects across a 0-100 Hz range without requiring separate tactile transducers under the seat. Signals are transferred directly into the seat, allowing the user to feel engine pulses, RPM changes, gear shifts, road texture, kerbs and rumble strips.

The available effects depend on the telemetry provided by each game. Motion and haptic intensity can be adjusted separately in Qubic Manager so short vibrations do not mask changes in seat angle.

Qubic System QS-H13 telemetry

Telemetry response without perceptible delay

The manufacturer specifies approximately 10 ms between receiving telemetry and the beginning of physical movement. This short response time helps keep the seat motion aligned with the image and feedback supplied by the steering wheel or flight controls.

This matters during abrupt load changes, tyre slip, kerb impacts or rapid aircraft manoeuvres. QS-H13 responds to data supplied by a supported title through Qubic Manager rather than analysing the image displayed on the screen.

Motion and special effects for racing simulation

In racing titles, QS-H13 can reproduce acceleration, braking, lateral load, elevation changes, body roll and pitch, wheel slip or lock, rumble strips, engine speed, the rev limiter and gear changes. Not every game makes all of these telemetry signals available.

Motion and special effects for flight simulation

Flight effects may include longitudinal and lateral acceleration, roll, pitch, engine or rotor vibration, weapon release, flares, stall shudder and positive or negative G warnings. The exact effect set depends on the integration provided for the selected simulator.

A pivot point positioned close to the seat

The rotation mechanism is positioned low and close to the seat. Roll and pitch therefore act around the user's seating position instead of raising the complete cockpit on a tall moving frame.

Under braking the seat moves the body forwards, acceleration shifts it backwards and cornering changes the load on the sides of the seat. Maximum movement ranges from -10.4 to +10.4 degrees in roll and from -9.45 to +9.45 degrees in pitch.

Quiet operation with reduced floor vibration

The QS-H13 drive uses technology developed for the QS-220 actuators and avoids the gearboxes and conventional DC motors used by simpler seat movers. The manufacturer specifies a noise level below 58 dB(A) under normal conditions.

The device does not create vertical movement of the complete cockpit, reducing direct impacts and vibration transferred into the floor. Actual noise also depends on cockpit stiffness, seat construction, accessory mounting and the selected motion profile.

Qubic System QS-H13 quiet work

Combining QS-H13 with the QS-BT1 belt tensioner

QS-H13 is prepared for installation of the Qubic System QS-BT1 belt tensioner. The required adapters are included with the seat mover, while the QS-BT1 itself is sold separately.

The seat mover delivers most cues through the seat, while the tensioner changes belt pressure across the shoulders and torso. Dividing these signals reduces the seat angle needed to simulate braking and preserves more travel for roll, pitch and acceleration effects.

Compatibility with cockpits and the Qubic System ecosystem

QS-H13 is primarily designed for rigid aluminium-profile cockpits. Universal adapters are included, but profile width, seat spacing, clearance below the seat and the full movement envelope must be checked before installation.

The unit can operate independently or alongside QS-210, QS-220, QS-CH2 and QS-BT1 hardware. Control is provided on a Windows PC through Qubic Manager. PlayStation and Xbox consoles are not supported.

Qubic System QS-H13 compatibility

Benefits when upgrading an existing simulator

QS-BT1 owners can divide effects between the belts and seat. The tensioner handles part of the braking load across the shoulders, leaving QS-H13 with more available travel for roll, pitch and acceleration. The included adapters simplify installation of the two devices together.

Owners of QS-210 or QS-220 actuator sets can assign full chassis movement to the actuators and move selected acceleration, engine and road effects closer to the body through QS-H13. This reduces overlapping cues and makes more efficient use of both systems' working range.

A user without motion hardware or QS-BT1 gains a compact entry point into 2DOF movement without rebuilding the complete simulator. Direct USB connection, included adapters and setup through Qubic Manager shorten the installation process.

For users currently outside the Qubic ecosystem, QS-H13 can operate as an independent seat mover on a compatible profile cockpit. Future expansion with Qubic System hardware does not require replacement of the seat module itself.

1. What is the Qubic System QS-H13?

It is a compact seat mover that moves the seat in roll and pitch and delivers telemetry-based vibrations.

2. Does the QS-H13 move the complete cockpit?

No. The unit is mounted under the seat, so it primarily moves the seat and user.

3. What is the maximum user weight?

The manufacturer specifies 130 kg. This limit must not be exceeded.

4. Does it require QS-MC6?

No. The QS-H13 connects directly to the PC through USB.

5. How loud is it?

The manufacturer specifies below 58 dB(A) under normal conditions and a design that limits vibration transfer into the floor.

6. Does the QS-H13 fit every cockpit?

It requires a rigid frame, preferably based on aluminium profiles. The included adapters are universal, but profile spacing and clearance must be checked.

7. Can the QS-BT1 be installed?

Yes. Dedicated adapters are included, allowing belt tension to complement seat movement.

8. Is the QS-H13 suitable for flight simulation?

Yes. Software can reproduce roll, pitch and engine or rotor vibration when the application provides suitable telemetry.

9. Does it support VR?

Yes. Qubic Manager provides VR HeadWay, and the manufacturer recommends a stable 90 fps or more.

10. Which seat should be used?

The manufacturer strongly recommends a rigid FIA-certified racing seat and a suitable harness.
