With a diameter of 75 mm, a height of 25 mm and a weight of 196 g, the XBS25-4 can fit in locations where a larger bass shaker would interfere with seat adjustment or cockpit hardware. It is particularly well suited to fast, localised effects and multi-point tactile systems.

The SpiderCore architecture integrates the suspension into the motor core. This keeps the enclosure slim while retaining ±6 mm of mechanical excursion. A lightweight FEA-optimised neodymium motor, a four-layer 53.5 mm voice coil and double steel suspension help the unit react quickly to changing signals.

Its rated 22 Hz–1 kHz frequency range supports both deep impulses and shorter, more detailed cues. A 39.8 Hz resonant frequency reinforces low-frequency effects, while peak force reaches 93.1 N — substantial output for such a small transducer.

The Nobsound NS-01G PRO available from Simline can drive an XBS25-4 at moderate output because it supports a 4–8-ohm load and provides up to 2 × 50 W. It will not use the transducer's complete 125 W headroom. Actual power also depends on the power supply and connection method.

When several shakers are used, calculate the total load for every amplifier channel. Do not connect multiple units in parallel if the resulting impedance falls below the amplifier's supported range.

1. What is the Xcite XBS25-4?

It is a passive tactile transducer that converts an audio signal into mechanical motion. When attached to a cockpit, seat or pedal deck, it makes audio effects or telemetry-generated cues physically perceptible.

2. Does the XBS25-4 connect directly to a computer?

No. The bass shaker requires an amplifier and speaker cable. The Fosi Audio TB10A uses an analogue RCA input, so the computer must provide the signal through a line output or separate sound card.

3. Which amplifier suits the XBS25-4?

We recommend the Fosi Audio TB10A. It supports a 4-ohm load, provides two channels and includes a 24 V / 4.5 A supply. The manufacturer states up to 2 x 100 W into 4 ohms, but actual continuous output depends on operating conditions.

4. Can the Fosi Audio TB10A drive two XBS25-4 units?

Yes. The simplest arrangement uses one 4-ohm shaker on the left channel and another on the right. Do not bridge the channels or connect their negative terminals together unless the manufacturer explicitly approves that mode.

5. Is the XBS25-4 rated at 25 W or 125 W?

The values refer to different tests. The datasheet specifies 25 W for the Rms Noise Test and 125 W as Long-term Max Power, both under IEC 60268-5. The 125 W figure should not be presented as a conventional RMS rating.

6. Where should the XBS25-4 be mounted?

Common positions include a pedal deck, the underside of a seat, the backrest and a wheel deck. The clearest effect comes from a rigid connection to the component that is intended to vibrate.

7. What is the mounting-hole pattern?

Four 3.3 mm holes are arranged on a 69 mm mounting diameter. The outer enclosure diameter is 75 mm and total height is 25 mm.

8. Does the XBS25-4 work with SimHub?

Yes, as part of an audio system. SimHub generates effects from telemetry, while a sound card and amplifier deliver them to the shaker. The XBS25-4 itself has no USB connection or built-in SimHub support.

9. What does IP66 mean?

The transducer enclosure is protected against dust and powerful water jets. This does not apply automatically to the rest of the system. The amplifier, cables, terminals and other electrical connections must be protected according to their own documentation.

10. Is one XBS25-4 enough?

One unit can provide local feedback through the pedals, seat or wheel deck. Two or more shakers make it possible to separate zones and effects, but require enough amplifier channels and correct impedance calculations.
