Immediate stop control for compatible devices

The MOTION-LOCK Switch gives the user a direct control point for a motion system. Pressing the red button sends a hardware stop request to connected devices without searching for a function in an application or game.

The switch has two clearly defined states. It is quick to engage, while its release action is designed to reduce the chance of accidental reactivation. Qubic System recommends mounting it close to the driver, where it can be reached without changing the seating position.

Dual-channel subsystem with wiring monitoring

The MOTION-LOCK subsystem uses two independent channels. If one switch contact fails, the second channel can still stop the device. The system recognises the fault and reports it to the user.

The MOTION-LOCK wiring is monitored as well. A disconnected, damaged or incorrectly connected cable can be detected, preventing the issue from remaining hidden until the switch is needed.

One daisy chain or independent circuits

MOTION-LOCK inputs and outputs allow multiple compatible devices to be connected in one chain. A single switch can then stop an entire configuration, such as a motion platform, belt tensioner and direct-drive wheel base.

Where more detailed control is required, separate circuits can be created. This makes it possible to lock out the motion platform, QS-DD-20 or QS-BT1 independently and keep only the required parts active for a particular session.

Compact enclosure, LED and industrial-grade components

The enclosure measures 68 mm wide, 72 mm high and 51.7 mm deep, while the button projects 27 mm above its surface. Mounting points are spaced 55 × 39.8 mm apart to help plan the installation. The integrated LED flashes during motion and remains steadily lit after stopping.

The switch uses components compliant with IEC 60947-5-1 and VDE 0660, and every unit is manually tested before shipment. MOTION-LOCK is intended to stop compatible devices, but it does not replace a SIL/PL-rated safety system or an external power disconnect where one is required for the installation.
