MOZA HMA ADAPTER KIT- An adapter for a closed profile channel

MOZA HMA Profile Adapter Kit is designed to mount an actuator from the MOZA HMA150 Motion System when the cockpit profile prevents use of the standard attachment point. Some 40120 and 40160 aluminium profiles have a closed centre channel, so the normal bracket cannot be positioned as it would on an open profile. The adapter creates a compatible interface between actuator and frame.

The accessory does not increase motion travel, speed or payload. Its role is to provide the correct geometry and a solid path for transferring load into the cockpit structure.

When the adapter is required

Use the kit with a 40120 or 40160 profile that has a closed centre section. If a 4080, 40120 or 40160 profile has an open centre slot compatible with the standard bracket, the adapter is not required. Inspect the profile cross-section rather than relying only on its outer dimensions.

Different profile series can look alike from the side yet guide fasteners in different ways. The safest reference is a clear view of the beam end or the cockpit manufacturer's technical drawing.

Vertical installation of four actuators

In a standard HMA150 system, all four actuators must be vertical, aligned at the same height and attached to stable frame points. The adapter should be installed consistently at every corner that uses a closed channel. Once tightened, check the angles and run MOZA Motion Manager calibration.

The recommended rig footprint is 1200 × 750 mm, while minimum installation spacing is 700 × 500 mm. The adapter does not override these dimensions or the total platform mass limit.

A small component with a safety-critical job

A motion actuator sends rapidly changing loads through the frame, so an improvised washer or a fastener resting against a thin profile wall is not an appropriate substitute. The MOZA HMA Profile Adapter Kit is intended to create a predictable connection for the specified profile type.

After assembly, run a self-test and manual movement test with nobody seated in the cockpit. The adapter does not include an actuator; the compatible MOZA HMA150 Motion System is a separate product. The seat, frame, pedals and other equipment must still be included in the total platform mass.
