Magnetic action with a positive shift point

Strong magnets replace steel springs in the ClubSport Magnetic Paddle Module. Resistance builds before the shift point and the mechanism changes gear with a short, positive click, making rapid shifts easier to confirm by feel.

Fanatec uses automotive-grade switches and states testing to one million cycles. Padded shifter arms also reduce harsh metal-to-metal impact, keeping the click distinct with less noise.

CNC aluminium and genuine carbon fibre

The module cages are CNC-machined from aluminium. Each paddle plate uses 16–17 layers of genuine carbon fibre and measures 3 mm thick for a rigid feel during rapid shifting.

Two paddle shapes are supplied. Shorter Formula paddles suit compact wheels, while the GT set is intended for larger wheel rims.

Adjustment for wheel diameter and hand reach

Paddle-plate spacers adapt the installation for small and large steering wheels. Additional spacers change the distance from the rim so the driver can reach the paddles without changing grip.

The paddle plates and core modules are symmetrical and can therefore operate on the left or right. Installation must still follow the hardware and sequence specified for the particular wheel or hub.

An upgrade for compatible Fanatec wheels and hubs

The 6-pin connector matches the one used by the Podium Advanced Paddle Module. This allows the MPM to work with the Formula V2/V2.5 family, selected F1, BMW GT2 V2 and RS wheels, ClubSport Universal Hub V2 and Podium Hub.

The module is not a standalone USB device. PC, Xbox or PlayStation compatibility depends on the complete system: steering wheel, hub, wheel base, driver and support for the function in the game.

PlayStation compatibility is provided by a suitable wheel base. The Magnetic Paddle Module can operate in that system when fitted to a compatible wheel or hub, while available functions also depend on the game and firmware.
