1. What is VNM Handbrake V1.5 designed for?
It is an analogue controller intended mainly for rally simulation and drifting. Its output rises progressively, rather than sending only a simple on or off command.
2. How does the 200 kg load cell work?
The load cell measures force applied to the lever. The 200 kg figure is the rated sensor capacity, not a force the driver must produce. Calibration defines the pressure that should represent maximum handbrake input.
3. Why does the handbrake use a 16-bit STM32 board?
The board converts the analogue load cell signal into detailed input data for the PC. Its resolution helps register small pressure changes and preserve a smooth progression through the mapped range.
4. Can the lever angle be changed?
Yes. Seven positions are available: 0°, 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75° and 90°. The handbrake can therefore be arranged vertically, at an incline or closer to a horizontal layout.
5. Is the handle length adjustable?
Yes. The V1.5 lever is longer than the original V1 design and its length can be adjusted. This helps set the reach from the steering wheel and changes the available leverage.
6. How is operating resistance adjusted?
Springs with different stiffness alter the lever feel. The driver can select a lighter pull or firmer resistance that calls for a more deliberate hand movement.
7. Which platform supports VNM Handbrake V1.5?

Its layout was developed around rally simulation, but progressive handbrake input is equally useful for drifting, rallycross and other cars that use the rear brakes to initiate or control a slide.
