Instrument Panel Moza MGX1000 - everything under hands

A total game changer for IFR/VFR flights and autopilot operation.

The MOZA MGX1000 is a flight panel for those who want to build a realistic simulator cockpit and operate their Garmin G1000 navigation system as intended. Instead of operating the avionics with a mouse, you have physical knobs, buttons, and a screen right in front of you, instantly transforming the way you use the simulator. For example, practicing ILS approaches? All the buttons, knobs, and data are at your fingertips.

More natural operation than a mouse and keyboard

The biggest difference comes during flight. The MGX1000 is equipped with a set of physical controls, including encoders, buttons, and a 7-way ALPS joystick. These make it easier to change settings, scroll through options, pan the map, and adjust values during flight. Instead of searching for small items on the monitor and clicking with the cursor, you use physical buttons and knobs. This provides better control, faster response, and a much more cockpit-like feel. Does the Vatsim/Ivao/SayIntentions controller provide changes? No searching, everything is right at your fingertips.

Image transmitted via DisplayLink

The MOZA MGX1000 uses DisplayLink technology, so it doesn't require a separate HDMI cable. This is a significant advantage in complex workstations, where there are often no available ports on the computer or graphics card. In practice, it's easier to connect the entire cockpit and keep cables tidy.

MOZA MGX1000 – questions and answers

1. What is the MOZA MGX1000 used for?

The MGX1000 replaces mouse-operated avionics with a physical screen, buttons, rotary encoders and a joystick. It is intended primarily for aircraft using a G1000-style flight deck and provides direct access to maps, COM/NAV radios, autopilot functions, flight data and navigation pages.

2. Does the MGX1000 contain its own display?

Yes. It has a 10.4-inch colour IPS screen with a resolution of 1024 × 768 and brightness of up to 500 nits. It is a complete display panel rather than a button frame that needs a separate monitor to be installed behind it.

3. Can one panel operate as either a PFD or an MFD?

Yes. MOZA Cockpit allows the connected unit to be configured as a Primary Flight Display or Multi-Function Display. One panel performs one of these roles at a time, but its assigned mode can be changed later when switching aircraft or rearranging the cockpit.

4. Are two MGX1000 panels required for a complete PFD and MFD layout?

A physical two-screen G1000-style arrangement requires two units. One MGX1000 can then show the primary flight instruments as the PFD, while the second handles the map and multi-function pages as the MFD.

5. Does the MGX1000 need an available HDMI port?

No. DisplayLink sends the video signal over USB, so the instrument panel does not occupy an HDMI or DisplayPort output on the graphics card. This simplifies cockpit builds that already use several external monitors or multiple instrument displays.

6. Which simulators currently support the MGX1000?

The current ready-to-use support covers Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and X-Plane 12. MOZA lists Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and X-Plane 11 as planned for future MOZA Cockpit updates, so these older versions should not be treated as supported out of the box yet.

7. Which aircraft can be used with the panel?

The published compatibility focuses on G1000-equipped aircraft. Examples include the Cessna 172 Skyhawk G1000, Beechcraft Bonanza G36, Diamond DA40 NG, Diamond DA62, Cessna 208B and third-party COWS DA40/DA42 or SWS Kodiak 100. Compatibility still depends on the simulator version, aircraft add-on and current MOZA Cockpit profile.

8. Does the panel provide full G3000 compatibility?

MOZA presents the MGX1000 as a G1000-style instrument panel and publishes compatibility for aircraft using that avionics layout. Full G3000 operation should not be assumed. Check the aircraft profile in the latest MOZA Cockpit release before purchasing the panel for a different avionics system.

9. How can the MOZA MGX1000 be mounted?

The included stand allows the panel to sit directly on a desk. Its housing also supports a 75 × 75 mm VESA mount and bottom mounting, making it suitable for aluminium profiles, dedicated brackets and integrated home-cockpit dashboards.

10. What is included, and which controls are sold separately?

The package contains one MGX1000 panel, a 1.5 m USB 3.0 Type-A cable, desktop stand and power adapter. A yoke, throttle and rudder pedals are not included. A general-aviation cockpit can be expanded with the MOZA AY210 MFY Yoke Bundle and MOZA Flight MRP Pedals.
