Upright geometry for GT cars

The Simgasm Atlas GT supports the back and shoulders in a more upright position than a seat intended for Formula cars. This geometry suits GT cars, touring cars, road cars and endurance racing, where a stable relationship between the driver, steering wheel and pedals is important.

The backrest has no hinge or reclining mechanism. The position is set by adjusting the height and angle of the complete seat on compatible side brackets. Once installed correctly, the seat provides a consistent reference point for positioning the remaining cockpit components.

Two shell colours and five cushion colours

Both shell finishes use carbon-composite construction. Cushion colour changes the appearance but not the material or geometry. 

The modular Atlas family

The lower base is shared by the Atlas GT and Atlas Formula configurations. To change the character of the rig, the user can purchase the Formula upper section with its matching cushions and attach it to the existing base.

This is not a reclining backrest or one compromise shape. GT and Formula are two separate geometries fitted to the same lower base. Their cushions are also shaped for the corresponding upper section and the GT set should not be exchanged for Formula cushions without changing the module.

Side mounting, harnesses and haptic equipment

The Atlas GT attaches to the cockpit through side mounting points. Separately sold brackets provide seat-height and angle adjustment. The manufacturer confirms compatibility with Simgasm Hobby, Club, Sport and Pro cockpits, while installation on a third-party rig requires verification of the mounting layout.

The shell includes openings for 4-, 5- and 6-point harnesses, a factory mounting-hole pattern for a compatible bass shaker and an additional point for a compatible accessory such as a cup holder or headset holder. These components are not part of the standard package and must be selected separately.

1. What driving position is the Simgasm Atlas GT designed for?

The seat is designed for the more upright, supported driving position used in GT cars, touring cars and endurance racing.

2. Does the backrest recline?

No. The backrest has fixed geometry. The height and angle of the complete seat are set during installation with compatible side-mount brackets.

3. How is the colour variant selected?

First choose a black or white shell, then select GT cushions in black, blue, white, red or orange. This creates ten configurations in total.

4. Is the carbon-wrapped version available on this product page?

No. This page covers only the black and white shell finishes. The carbon-wrapped version will be a separate product. Regardless of the selected colour, both the black and white shells are made from carbon composite.

5. Can the cushions be removed and washed?

Yes. The memory-foam cushions can be removed from the seat and washed according to the manufacturer's care instructions. Cushion colour does not change their construction.

6. Are cockpit mounting brackets included?

No. The seat requires side-mount brackets that are sold separately. The correct bracket set connects it to the cockpit and provides height and angle adjustment.

7. Can the Atlas GT be converted into a Formula seat?

Yes. The lower Atlas base is shared by both geometries. Conversion requires the separately sold Atlas Formula upper section and the matching Formula cushion set.
