1. What is the Moza R16 ULTRA?
It is a standalone Direct Drive base for a racing simulator. The motor delivers sustained 16 Nm torque, and the base is intended primarily for a rigid PC cockpit.
2. How much Force Feedback does the R16 Ultra produce?
It provides 16 Nm of sustained torque rather than treating that figure as a momentary peak. Strength can still be reduced in software while keeping headroom for fast effects.
3. Why does the flat-wire motor matter?
Its design combines high torque density with exceptionally low cogging. Small steering corrections feel smoother, while the motor can still respond firmly to a sudden slide or impact.
4. How precise is the Moza R16 ULTRA encoder?
The 21-bit magnetic encoder reads 2,097,152 shaft positions. This allows the base to register very small steering movements.
5. What does FFB interpolation do?
It smooths the transition between neighbouring signal samples. This can reduce grain, abrupt steps and artificial jolts without removing useful road detail when tuned sensibly.
6. Where are the wheelbase settings adjusted?
MOZA Pit House is the main PC software for strength, response, damping and other settings. Mobile app support also makes quick adjustments possible from the cockpit.
7. How can the R16 Ultra be mounted?
The housing supports bottom, front and side mounting. A rigid cockpit or aluminium-profile frame is the most suitable match for 16 Nm torque.
8. Are a steering wheel and pedals included?
No. This product is the wheelbase only. A steering wheel, pedals and other cockpit hardware need to be selected separately.
9. Which components make a sensible pairing?
The Moza KS Pro suits GT racing, while the round Moza CS Pro works well for road and rally cars. The setup can be completed with Moza SRP2 pedals.
10. Does the Moza R16 ULTRA work with Xbox?
Yes, but Xbox compatibility requires the Moza ESX wheel. Without it, PC is the base's primary platform.
