Moza HGP H-Shifter

The MOZA HGP uses a 15-bit non-contact angle sensor with 32 768 positions. No physical contact eliminates mechanical wear, guaranteeing precision and reliability across years of use without maintenance or part replacement. The sensor provides consistent, positive gear recognition for all 7+R positions under any session conditions.

Both reverse and 7th gear on the MOZA HGP require downward lever pressure before engagement — exactly as in real sports car gearboxes. This mechanism prevents accidental reverse engagement during a race and unintentional 7th gear selection at low speed. It is one of the key realism features that sets the HGP apart from budget shifters without lockout mechanisms.

The MOZA HGP features a proprietary damping mechanism that gives each gear change a satisfying, realistic resistance and a confirming tactile click as the gear engages. The system replicates the feel of a genuine sports car gearbox — neither too soft nor too firm — delivering natural, immersive sensations throughout long racing and rally sessions.

The MOZA HGP connects directly to PC via a USB-B to USB-A cable (1.8 m, included) or to any compatible MOZA wheelbase via the dedicated shifter port using an RJ11 cable (1.5 m, included). Connecting through the MOZA wheelbase removes an extra USB port from the equation and fully integrates the shifter into the MOZA Racing ecosystem. All configuration is handled in MOZA Pit House.

The patented funnel-shaped dust guard at the lever base prevents dust and debris from entering the internal gearbox mechanism. It protects the sensors and mechanical components from contamination that could compromise precision and longevity, while maintaining the clean, professional exterior appearance — with no visible gaps around the shifter lever.

Yes. The MOZA HGP gear knob is swappable and uses the M12×1.25 automotive thread standard, making it compatible with virtually any aftermarket car gear knob available in automotive accessory stores. You can also fit dedicated carbon fibre knobs such as the Simagic P-TSK or P-RSK to personalise the look and ergonomics of your shifter.

The MOZA HGP with its 7+R layout is ideal for simulating classic GT cars, rally cars, Le Mans racers and commercial vehicles. It supports titles including Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Dirt Rally, EA Sports WRC, rFactor 2 and any other PC sim with H-pattern shifter support. The 7-gear layout covers the gearboxes used in real GT3 and GT4 racing cars.
